Well, sadly Lions won't be in finals again this year but if there was a team I would barrack for to win the cup..would have to be Freo..like their style of play and some talented players including good'ol dessie headland might finally get his second medallion:thumbsu:

thats not nice BD :p

Id think freo winning would be a blast on bigfooty :p And Sydney is my second fave team so i wouldnt mind them going back to back

and i know most ppl on this board dont like the saints but it would be almost criminal if Rob Harvey didnt have a premiership medallion

I'd like to sit on the fence and say Freo or the Eagles but I'll be bold and tip Freo. I'd have asked you to lock me up if I said this 6 weeks ago but seeing is believing and I truly haven't seen momentum like this at the business end of the season since us in 2001. They are just smashing good sides with ease. More importantly, they have no significant injury problems. The Eagles are not out of it yet though. They will improve on yesterday with Kerr and Hanson in, although Hanson is starting to look like he may not stand up, and they will also learn from yesterday.

As fantastic as we were in 2001, we still may have fallen at the last hurdle if the Bombers had been fully fit on GF Day so that leads me to conclude that the Eagles are not out of it on the score of experience. The only other possible hope is Sydney but I can really see Melbourne shutting them out of the top 4 this week and therefore doubt they can do it with 4 sudden death games and 3 games on the road.

Yes folks its the Dockers to seal the interstate supremacy and become the last of the non-Victorian sides to lift the flag.

Broadbeach by about 3 goals over Southport in front of 7,000 at Cararra:thumbsu:

The team I'd like to see win is the Dogs. They have every chance too. No-one in the 8 would scare them and they are one team that wouldn't mind a road trip to Subi. Might be one year early for them though.

The team I expect to be there is West Coast. They are coasting at the moment (scuse pun) but I expect them to be super-competitive. The key for them will be to lift themselves in time for week 1 of the finals because they may be prone to an upset - but if they play Freo, then motivation won't be a problem.

My dark horse is St Kilda. I wrote them off after watching them against Freo but that is not terrible form given the way Freo demolished West Coast a week later. St Kilda played a brilliant style of football against the Dogs and looked anything but slow against them. And I can't go past their forward line with Sammy Hammill in it. Kosi, Riewoldt, Gehrig and Hammill has premiership written all over it. If all 4 can stay on the park, I am going to have a few sneaky bucks on them.

West Coast - Top 2, great list, hurting from last year. Favourites.

Adelaide - I picked Adelaide at the start of the year and have been on that bandwagon up until last week. I think their form is a bit of a concern, but what really hurts them is injuries. May still make the granny though.

Fremantle - not enough finals experience IMO

Melbourne - A good side but not the best and despite their good record this year, I still can't see them winning interstate.

Sydney - If they can finish top 4 they are a chance. They play finals football every week, but are not going quite as well as last year.

Collingwood - Have been flattered this year by an easy draw and are now struggling to beat sides on the bottom of the ladder who are tanking. Expect to show some fight, but only for a week or so.

St Kilda - have surprised me how well they have gone without Hayes. If they were in the top 4 they would be a big threat.

Bulldogs - can beat anyone and will be a nightmare for their first opponents. But would have to have the perfect run from 8th and they aren't consistent enough for that.

Result - West Coast to beat either Sydney or St Kilda.

Would like to see the Doggies win purely from the point of view of helping maintain themselves as a club etc, winning a premiership would surely get more members in and get them across the line financially.

And I would also like to see the Demons win. So if either of those get in I will be more than happy.

West Coast after the derby game on the weekend? Nah

Freo, nope couldn't stand hearing THAT song over and over and over

Sydney - nope, boredom personified, they got last years with that style of play - that's enough, although I like to soneg! Shake down the thunder from the sky! la dalda la

Collingplaeh - can't even say the name - NO for so many reasons!!

St Kilda - nope, not until they lose conrflakes and get a decent coach in there, what about a bring back Blight campaign?!!

Adelaide - is Doc still playing for them? If so yeah for him!!

I'm still holding onto the belief that we have had a bad year because of injuries, but if the Doggies win then I can't use that excuse, which would mean that we're just crap.:(

We are crap!:p

Would love to see either Freo, Saints or Melbourne win it this year, and a GF between any of these would be a good spectacle.

Most likely: Syd or WCE
Fair chance: Saints, Freo

agreed with what has been said, would be good if Rob harvey could retire with 1, has done everything and more except the flag.
would mean peckett, thompson and powell would finally give it up too.
Freo look the goods but no finals experience may come undone in a prelim.

who do i want to win? Doggies! (no change i no but itd be awesome).

ACTUAL TIP: WCE
