If kicking goals is our main downfall at the moment, who would you want to come into the team after last rounds' SANFL performances?

"Nick Gill bagged seven goals in the stand-out performance from Crows in the SANFL on Saturday. Gill’s display featured a game-changing burst of four goals, which helped North Adelaide recover from a slow first half against the Eagles. He had 21 possessions, took 10 marks and kicked 7.2."

"Andy Otten was again among South Adelaide’s best in its upset win over Glenelg. He started in attack and then went into the midfield, collecting 24 possessions and kicking 1.2.

Taylor Walker’s four goals for Norwood all came in the first half at The Parade. He finished with 11 possessions and took six marks. Aaron Kite was competitive in defence for the Redlegs.

"And at Glenelg (Reserves), James Sellar had 15 possessions, kicked two goals and had more than 30 hit-outs."

"Patrick Dangerfield was named in the Geelong Falcons' best with 24 possessions and six marks and was rotated from centre half back through to full forward." (Didn't kick any goals from what I can tell.)

Hopefully Gill for Jericho - I never want to see the latter in Crows colours ever again.

IMO both Campbell and Moran deserve another chance so that would be it for me.

I used to be a Jericho defender but, after last week, I don't believe he has what it takes.
Gill in to take Jericho's place.

I think the question is who will come in then who should, because we all know the player that should never does make the final cut

Gill For Jericho if you ask me, I along with many others stood up for Jericho but after that piss poor effort on sunday I think "it's time to go.... LUKE" Although I have my concerns on Gill as he has only had one good game, would like to see more consistency before selection but with our forward line just get him in there... Obviously we won't see Walker this year, I've had it with Massie i'm unsure on whats slower his legs or his decision making? sometimes the two combine and it's like a car wreck!!

OUTS: Jericho, Massie*- pls NC

INS: Gill, Mackay (Pppppetrenko?? unlikely)

* I beleive that Massie will stay in as I think he must have sleep overs at Craigys or something ;)

Over the course of the next 6 weeks it should be:

IN: Gill, Mackay, Otten, Walker, Hentschel, Kite/Gallman

OUT: Jericho, Shirley, Stevens, Massie, Tippett, Walker (for Hentschel)...with these omissions not necessarily all deserved but we know what these blokes will give us if retained next year and Tippett could do with a break from AFL.

i personally dont care less who comes in for who, ............im sorry to bag him but if i ever see luke jericho play for the afc again it will be too soon. he would'nt get a game for oodlawirra magoos and things have not changed for the last three years. he hears footsteps, will continually not use the great pace that he was born with, will not tackle hard and will not put his body on the line for the club. there is a better word for this but it just escapes me at the moment.goodbye luke but you will never play another afl game again. anyone who thinks he is trade material is just kidding themselves.

IN: Gill
OUT: Jericho
Campbell may also make way for Mackay despite playing reasonably well during the showdown. I'd prefer to see him retained and Shirley dropped but that won't happen.

Over the next few weeks we can look forward to the return of Hentschel plus the debuts of Walker and Petrenko. When Trent comes back, we need to get the slow "Hentschel" (like the CENNNNNNTRALLLLLLL) chant going :p

I love your optimism but I highly doubt any of that will happen

Another vote for Gill for Jericho.

In reference to the original post, Danger kicked one behind on the weekend. Hit the post from a set shot. He didn't spend too much time up forward and when he did he wasn't really the focal point - he just looked to be down there for a rest at stages.

It would be funny to see these changes only to prove to people how much we would actually get belted by if we did make so many changes.

Sorry Jars but where is the current team heading?

It’s easy to be flippant towards anyone who suggest kids should be played but the current side may not be getting belted but they are not winning either and losing to very beatable sides.

I think Gill will come in for Jericho.

I don't have anything against Gill but I think we should get rid of him at the end of the year as we have some good players coming through that need to be priority..

I think Stevens could do what Gill does up forward and Moran could cover for Stevens down back.

It is a frustrating that Sellar can't hit some sort of form as he would be in for sure!

I'd say Gill for Jericho. I think this game might be a good one for Campbell to play given how Sydney play.

Did anyone see the news story on Dangerfield the other night? I think he said he won't play this season and was never going too? He was only ever an emergency for experience.

I think Stiffy has to be dropped for a week or two, he's struggling mentally. I'd bring Gill in, not for goal scoring but for his pressure and agression. I'd also bring back McKay, he looked very promising when he played in the first half of the year. I can agree with all you taking your frustration out on Jericho. He should be dropped and not offered another contract after the season. Boy, haven't we missed Porplyzia in some ways. Such a talent, always struck down by injures. Also I think Hentschel's return from a knee reco is fetting closer and closer.

Hawthorn, Geelong, Collingwood (at the MCG) and Brisbane (at the Gabba) are hardly very beatable sides. And Port are playing better than their record shows.

Gill for Jericho

Bringnig kids in has to be done gradually for two reasons. One is for the benefit of the kids themselves so they don't get swamped and damaged pyscologically and potentially physically and second for the benefit of the team. We do not tank, it is inbuilt into the culture of our club. If we play 5 more youngsters we are effectively tanking.

You can call it whatever you like but if we continue with the losses we are currently having, tanking is going to be a positive term to describe our football club.

I have never ever endorsed playing a multitude of young players but not dropping a senior player or second tier player after 5 losses is bordering on a joke. NC has to reward good SANFL form and take a chance on a kid or 2. Who know what sort of youthful enthusiasm an Andy Otten, David McKay or a Jarrod Petrenko may bring to the table, if only they were given a chance? He doesn’t need to play 15 kids, just one or two and send a valid message to a few senior player that there form is not good enough. And 5 losses on the trot is evidence enough that a few players are out of form.

Griffin, Gill and Jericho are the only player to face the axe during this lean period. And in my humble opinion those 3 are far from the reason we were winning and are far from the reason we have started to lose.

I would like to change my comment on the team this week given the fact that porps looks set to return.

INS: Gill, Porps

OUTS: Jericho, Massie/Campbell/Douglas?

Gill for Jericho
Mackay for Shirley
Petrenko for Massie
Otten for McLeod ( not dropping Macca just give him another week)
Walker for Stevens or Tippett ( could use a game or two in SANFL)

I know it will never happen. I know some of those blokes dont deserve to be dropped but the time has come. Would also like to see Kite come in over the next few weeks. Would rather see two of the above get in our best players than winning vs Sydney.

I would see it as preparing the best we can for our future, starting now.

I'd love us to get games into the right youngsters over the next 6 weeks.

With those sides i want us to go out and bust our guts to win.

The injection of youth may just help us perform better considering we have lost 5 in a row.
