The last few games I have been sitting at the Western end of the Gabba just behind the Cheer Squad.

Who else sits around there? Who's on the cheer squad from bigfooty?

I'M IN THE CHEER SQUAD.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO TO FIND ME IS LOOK FOR THE 43 JUMPER.

CAN'T MISS ME I'M THE ONLY PERSON TO HAVE THAT NUMBER.

Decided to try section 43 this year. Fan section and shady for day games. Row d so pretty close to the front of the area. No quarter time prize or kiss cam action though.

Welcome to the dark side.

I wish Beausgirl was still around. I really fancied her.
Yeah others fancied her as well, I wonder who she ended up with? Must have been a ripper bloke anyhow.

Nah she settled for some dude in a dorky hat.

So this could be as good a thread as any to ask in. Coming up to the Melbourne game (1st ever at the Gabba). Sadly I'll be outnumbered by the Melbourne supporters, but trying to figure out where to sit? Any recommendations on best spots?

Also we even looked at Corporate boxes and why the hell doesnt the price include food and beverages?

You wont be outnumbered at a Melbourne game.

Anyone know what the go is here? People were suggesting that it could be a hill/standing area.
edit: nm, had a look on triple m.

"This week we are giving you the chance to win a double pass to the launch of the verandah with pre game food and bevvys at the black party for the first game."

"You can purchase tickets to watch the game from The Verandah and experience boutique food and beverage offerings, beautifully styled spaces and plenty of "instagrammable" moments."

Match Report:

A stirring Lions victory has been marred by ugly scenes in the fashionable "Verandah" section of the 'Gabba where a wayward Stefan Martin shot for goal felled a 19 year old woman with 3500 Instagram followers.

"In an Australian Football first, James Aish had to be stretchered from the field after being struck by a piece of patio furniture."

Now that it has been confirmed, I have to say that it strikes me as an odd decision to locate this behind the goals. Opposition cheersquads must be livid. If they are touting "no crowds to block your view", then numbers must be fairly limited, in what looks to be predominantly standing room.
It is obviously raised, but is there room underneath, and what will that look like on TV and what will viewing from below be like, with a mezzanine overhead.
Not enough info to want to be anywhere near it. Glad I sit at the other end.
