I voted this year, as my definition of 'turning it around' is being in most games and winning a few in the back half.

I still think we can win 6-7 games, but that might well be my heart talking and not my head.
Same here. But lose to Richmond and it all changes...

Have to agree.
We'd be plumbing new depths if that was to occur. I won't mind if Brions towel us, but we need to beat WC and Rich convincingly and also take other bottom 8 teams into the 4th quarter and in some cases go onto win...

I think by the end of the year things will be looking better than they are now but it kind of depends on the psychological state of the top end players. If LDU believes he can put the team on his back and win games, if Harry Sheezel has the confidence to take risky kicks instead of blasting it forward when he receives a handball under pressure, if Nick Larkey and Cam Zurhaar are kicking the goals they need to kick, if X is dominating his ruck opponent, then the younger players will come along and we'll be in games, provided the whole side continues to build their discipline, defensive application and ability to stick to the gameplan, especially stoppage structures and the zone defense. That's the thing that takes time, but if we get to the point of the gameplan actually gelling but those aforementioned figures are too psychologically beaten down to impose themselves on games, then we'll probably be grinding out games and losing narrowly by 1-15 points, like we did against Port and Essendon.

The real worst-case scenario is that neither of these things happen and we're seeing Good Friday-esque performances every week. At that point men's football will cease to exist to me as I get ready for the real season that starts in August.

I'll put my hand up and openly say never. We've been shit for several seasons now, and this year looks much the same. We may turn it around in 4 years maybe - thats how long it will take to clean out the current regime and senior players. Even then we have to hope current promising youngsters aren't mentally ruined by then

I told you guys at the start of the year that we won’t be winning shit in the first half.

The wins will come in the second half.

Voted that I think it'll happen within two years.

I feel like we're approaching the corner, but that the street we're on is getting longer with a lot of roadblocks and pesky chicanes.

I want to be optimistic and say this year and am still hopeful for it, but realistically can't see it when it's our senior players letting us down in the clutch - need the next gen to mature.

Oh the admin team is seperate, one group at a time, slow and steady. I like this approach .
Full clean out with an afl led Peter Jackson like hostile takeover if we start next season anywhere near the level we have this season.

We either improve immensely or shut it down and hit reboot.

Score differential at 3qrt time this year

-7 vs dogs
+18 vs dee's
-27 vs crows
-59 vs swans
-19 vs suns (should have been 6 but we got Rowelled)
-50 vs blues
-13 vs port
-1 vs *

There's 5 games we were in with a decent chance at 3qrt time. From memory we didn't play too badly vs crows but we were out matched, swans and blues games were disgusting. We need to improve our starts because we keep getting 3-5 goals down early and you have so little room for error when playing catch up.

I think we've turned a corner on the last couple of seasons and we'll only keep improving as a few more players are rotated through the best 22.

I don't see our form significantly improving this year given the list composition. Maybe some small improvements here and there, but too many of our better players are very early in their careers, we drafted players like W Dawson and Whitlock too late into the rebuild, and too many of our senior players are C graders. We'll have done very well if we manage 6 wins tbh.
