Unfortunately the hack is contracted next year ...

So maybe Fraser Brown could actually do something usefull, and pay out Teague to free up the spot on our list.

We don't delist until after trade week.

We can delist anytime we like. The only reason to not delist now is if we thought there might be some trade value in particular players.......but if your getting the chop from the worst list in the comp, it doesn't really send your stocks soaring.

Of course we CAN. Its just that its Carlton policy not to delist until after trade week. Whether its because we feel we owe it to our players to try and find them a new home, because we don't want to devalue them at the trade table or because we want to play in safe is debatable.

Question, What happened to Chambers? From Memory when you guys won the pres season cup i remember him ripping it up and kicking a few super goals and was really looking the goods and then I never saw him again...

Did he get injured or just dissapear?

Had built up nicely to the Hawks games last year (?Rd 10 ish) when Wait tore them a new one.
He had played 3 really good games in a row then tore a calf with 2 mins left in the Hawks game. Never regained that form again. Has been good but not outstanding with the Ants and with lots of other young mids pushing ahead of him (Murph, Simo, Bentick, Jackson, Smith, Flint) it looks all over - want him?

Chris bryant is definitely gone. Lazy and does not like hard work .Training hard is not in his vocabulary.

His name obviously isnt in yours- its BRYAN. I would definitely keep Bryan for one more year- if he can get his proverbial together, he can be a versatile ruckman for another season or two.

I'd cut : Livingston , Saddington , Davies , Prendegast , Sporn , Longmuir , Chambers , those 7 for now .

and wait until after the november draft to cut a few more

I'm pretty sure he signed a 2 year deal when he joined us last year, plus there are too many players in front of him to be delisted.

Saddington was contracted to Sydney who pay the bulk of his salary. Not sure when it runs out.

Hopefully most of the board go.As for which players i have no idea, surely will be a surprise or 2 but livo, chambers and longmuir would seem to be gone.

Deserves a year to see if he can play injury free. Would release Whitnal on occasion. What if Thornton and Whitnall were injured. We need him for depth as well.
Its all well and good to look at your best 22 and say nah, that blokes not in it so nick him off, but even the best clubs use about 30 players a year, so we need to consider depth. Same goes for Bryan.
Some have argued Bryan and Deluca should go......granted they are not the best rucks around, but who is going to do it.....we need at least three guys capable on the list to cover for an injury.

Think people. Just getting rid of a dud doesn't automatically improve your list. You have to replace him with someone who will produce more.

Agree with you completely on Saddington and Bryan, but Deluca??? We could replace him with ANYBODY and it would be an improvement. Face it, the guy is ****house. He adds nothing to our list whatsoever, and the clown who signed him up for two years last year should be ashamed of himself. Eddie Betts would make a better ruckman and Mr 'Too slow-too stupid-too sh1t' Deluca. Only value would be in enticing his brother to the club (whom we should have drafted when we had the chance).

Guess you missed the Roos game when Fev did his knee being Tony Modra. Dukes pulled in a few and kicked a few that night. Now maybe he'll never do it again.........but I'm looking behind him and there is no-one withtheir hand up. Face it...unless Aisake or Batson do something amazing next year, or we draft an old hack via PSD, or fluke a young gun ready to play in the draft (highly unlikely) then we have 3 gyuys able to ruck in the seniors and we can't afford to get rid of any of them.
Not saying he's my Fav, or that I think he will last very long. Just think at the moment we don't have too many options. Get rid of him and McLaren gets injured pre-season with a knee - Bryan is no.1 ruck all year with ?????? supporting him.
This is my point.
