Who will miss out?

With our midfield already looking the goods, we have to wonder who will eventually miss out come Round 1. With....

Yze, Johnstone, Leoncelli, Rigoni, Heffernan, Whelan, Thompson, Brown, Ward, Godfrey, J. McDonald, Armstrong and others to choose from, we must realise not all of them can play! Apart from the ones who were unavailable, all of the midfielders were fantastic on Friday night and anyone who misses out could count themselves unlucky!

Players like Luke Williams will be dropped no matter what, but it will be hard to leave players out, especially with 5 or 6 still to return! Who goes?

Will be tough to drop anyone really. Apparantly everyone has been firing on the training track so Neale will have his work cut out for him.

BTW This week Oooooooze will have 30 touches and 3 goals. Always plays well against Norf Melbourne.

Cowboy. I doubt Luke Williams would be dropped. He is a good player and ND like him.

If that's the case, then he is way off. There is no chance in hell Luke Williams will end up keeping his spot by Round 1!

I think we can nearly fit them all in

HB. Brown _____ Heffernan
C. Johnstone Yze Whelan
HF. Bruce _______ Thompson
R. White Rigoni Leoncelli

With Godfrey starting on the I/C and Walsh in the pocket.

So that leaves James McDonald (who we should've traded) missing out and Armstrong filling the role of an injured player.

Im suprised at how much midfield depth we still have despite losing both Powell and Woey. The more competition for positions the better off the side will be.

This is my round 1 team at this stage, there are more players I would like in than spots availible which is a good thing. Not sure about Joll at CHF, more likely a FP,with say Wheats at CHF.

B: Walsh, Miller, Brown
The back pockets pick themselves, with Miller there after an impressive game on Ottens, and he has a good size
HB: Bizzell, Lamb, Bruce
Strong line here, Lamb given a more attacking role, Biz more freedom, Bruce part of the midfield rotation
C: Heffernan, Thompson, Johnstone
Heff to continue his good form, along with Thommo. I hope TJ stays with last years form
HF: Wheatley, Jolly, Robertson
Wheats is going to have a huge year IMO. Jolly at CHF at this stage, Robbo providing a good marking option on the flank
F: Moorcroft, Neitz, Vardy
Neitz picks himself, as does Vardy. Moorcroft will be given a decent chance, and should be, I hope his impresses
R: White, Rigoni, Yze
Will be great to have Riggers back, Yze for a tougher role and White to drift forward more
INT: Whelan, Green, Ward, Leoncelli
Wanted to start Whelan & Chell on the ground, but there wasn't room. Strong bench with plenty of versitility.
EMG: Armstrong, Ferguson, Godfrey, McDonald.
Ferguson might get a game if we decide to have an extra tall on the bench. I would say with my team Chell will do the tagging along with Whelan? Couldn't find room for either Godders or J Mac.

6 man bench for wizzy cup :D
Can't see Armstrong not getting a game. He's a gun, and I'd take him over Moorcroft. Other than that, you are spot on.
Our backline isnt too shabby actually, especially when you take into account that we have 3 more defenders to come back during the year!

I think you will find that he said that this team was for round 1 of the season!

I agree Cowboy, a tad too soft for me;)

ill agree with you agreeing with him!!

the unfortunate thing is that ND doesnt seem to see how ****house williams is. its kinda like what happened with (dare i say his name) grgic... he SOMEHOW got picked for the games, yet was barly good enough to warm the bloody bench well enough!!
