At the end of the day the umps are just like any other footy fan, they read the papers, watch the box etc etc and when the game is on, they only remember what G Ablett or Dane Swan did..they dont remember what they didnt do...I understand where you are coming from when talking Glass, but people shouldnt throw stones when talking about Glass...hold on...sorry wrong tact...defenders like Glass etc tend to break...****..there i go again..tend to play a purely negative game...their contribution the winning it is minimal outside being negative...i.e. stopping their opponent.
But its a well known thing about the Brownlow that you need to either be on the ball or kick a ton and dominate dude..![]()
Thanks for that, Captain Obvious. My post is that I know the facts, I just don't agree with it as a reliable system of ranking talent.
