I think its out of Hawks:thumbsu:,Geelong or Port this yr. But im going for the mighty hawks - support them. HAWKS 4 PREMIERS 2007!! GO THE HAWKS.

I'm just amazed at how many Cats supporters think winning the flag is a mere formality. I acknowledge that they are a favourite, but the celebrations are just a little premature IMO. :)

Just out of interest who do you think might take the flag home Parrot?

Or which team would kill you should they win it. Im tipping West Coast and maybe Geelong.

West Coast don't have the list talent to do it. A very disciplined, defensive team, but when you take Judd out of it, and to a lesser extent Cousins, it's a pretty bland lineup. Top-8 side yes, but not much else. Can't see them winning an away-from-Subi final. Geelong are my favourites for the flag this year, but I am concerned about the Cats complete lack of success for over 40 years, which implies a cultural problem at their Club i.e. don't know how to go about translating H&A wins into premiership wins. The Cats in the past have had Kingsley-like pathetic KP forwards, but they have improved remarkably in that area. This year the Cats have been big on extreme semi-legal blocking tactics, which has caught a lot of teams by surprise. They do it in the forward and backline. Wlliiams did his homework last week, and managed to negate the effectiveness of that tactic, forcing the Cats players into more contested situations. So the question is does Thompson have a plan B? Still should win the flag despite these huge question marks. Port? I just don't rate their list. Roden and Ebert are under-the-radar low-talent battlers. These types generally get exposed in finals. The Blues completely humilated Port on their home turf before applying the PP brakes. They're not a hard team to beat, but are very well coached. :)

Could turn out like a 1990 situation where a team that hits form at the right time simply goes all the way. This may include a team outside of the top 4. West Coast have little chance of success due Judd's injury and kerr's absence for the same reason. To me Port are a very good H&A team, however struggle come the month of september as shown in previous finals series. The 2004 flag was against a lions team virtually on their knees.

All in all Geelong have been the dominate team in 2007 and deserve to be favourite. Would expect them to be there on the last day in september and probably take the cup home too. Good luck to them all.

Cats or Hawks only chances.

Hawks definitely a chance on there day, it is pretty exciting to actually see them right up in the mix. I honestly thought we would be pushing for 8th spot but after the amount of talent that has been on show this season anything is possible.
Would love to see Cats v Hawks GF

I remember back in the late 80's Cats were expecting to win the flag- they just know how to lose them!!
