Ablett, the best player in the game.

Franklin is a freak and could overtake him ina year or two, but right now Ablett is still #1.

Also the Pies are crying out for a midfielder who is as damaging as he is.

Franklin, because as some commentators have said, people will go to Hawthorn games in 2-3 years just to watch him play (if they're not already), and he'll give the Hawks another 10,000 members.

More importantly, he's 21 and he's already kicked 100 goals in a season, from twice as many shots. Apart from his inaccuracy, he is as close to the most complete player i've seen. He's quick, fit and agile, provides multiple efforts to every contest, and is as good as some of the game's elite midfielder's at ground level.

Bottom line, he's skillful, powerful, entertaining, likeable (and therefore marketable), a good role model and great for the game. Not that YAAAABLETT isn't, rather, Franklin offers more potential in more areas.

I'd have to say Ablett, IMO he could easily lift another cog or three (So could Buddy, but it is just IMHO).
