Who's going to the game?

Hey there 'scope - I definitely saw you holding the sign, and tried to get a photo of it from where we were on Level 2 - but 'cause of the angle from above (and I suspect also my camera not being the greatest piece of digital technology - reckon it was made in Lower Outer Gabon or something) my photo didn't come out so well - your sign mainly blends in with advertising hoardings, and you can't see the lettering at all. I'll still try to post it next week.

You were doing a fair bit of screaming though... I tried to wander down to say g'day but was stopped twice by three different sets of security - why the heck isn't a holder of a premium ($55.80!!) ticket allowed to go into the lower level???

I think i was quite good today in regards to yelling and stuff, i've done worse!
But if Freo1995 can get the vision of Solomon's smother in the 3rd quarter you should see me on the fence yelling out play on and then clapping the smother. I also waved the sign in front of an umpire throwing the ball back in in the first quarter i hoped that got on t.v. too.


Yea my ticket cost $36 and got to sit on the fence and you obviously paid $58 to get second level and better view but i love sitting on the fence its good and in your face. The security was at the end of the race until sometime during the 3rd quarter because it was pretty empty prior to that and then all of a sudden there was alot more people sitting around me.

Round 13 @ MCG vs Collibobbles Saturday Day. June 27. We should make a thread about meeting up about 3 weeks before hand so we can get a bigger turn out and how was that venue? good or not? Worth going to again?

Sorry man, would have come down again after the game but my flight left for Canberra (have to be at work tomorrow) - had to run and grab a cab to the airport, and only just made it.

The Royal Melbourne was pretty good, the food was decent, it didn't seem too crowded, and they had a nice selection of beers at average prices. Staff were friendly, and I'd have liked to have been able to hang around to see how many more freo fans turned up before the game.

For the Collibobbles game, I'd probably suggest something closer to the 'G, I usually try to go to one of the places on Spring Street - and I'm quite partial to the Europa Beer Cafe after the game...
