Why are Port more hated than the Crows?

At least we're in the AFL imagine being West Adelaide or Norwood so many of our Supporters are ungrateful.

Literally nobody believes you're a real Port supporter, this is such an obvious troll account.

Adelaide Crows supporters would be happy to come second bottom for 10 years if it guaranteed we were bottom.

Look at both boards. The Adelaide board just laugh and dismiss Power as a club full of flogs and cry babies, while the Port board has real anger and vitriol towards the Crows.

Nah. The Crows were created as basically the state team in a national competition.
In SA that is a huge cultural benefit. We have the state colours, the Crow as the mascot (crows eaters) to back that up.

We dont care what people outside of SA think, that's irrelevant. Collingwood is apparently a big Vic club, but that means nothing to us in SA.

I suspect there was some truth in that when the majority of Crows supporters still called Port "Ports" but their gradual disappearance from the scene has improved the Crow's supporter base no end.

Have been to AO to see Hawthorn play both teams recently and have a positive experience with both sets of fans.

For me the only thing I can think of is that over the journey Port have had a lot more players easy to dislike. That’s putting it nicely.

Crows are an inoffensive club created to prevent Port from leaving the SANFL.

Crows were created from all of the SANFL clubs at the time, not just one of them.

This was immensely better for the interests of all SANFL fans than just one SANFL club joining the AFL would have been.

The short answer is who the feck cares? It ain't a beauty contest. I just wish my team delivered more on field over the past two decades to make the players, officials and supporters of other clubs to have a reason to hate us more. Fact is that fans of Geelong, Hawthorn etc. should love us for the free ride our non competitive teams have given theirs into Grand Finals.

That Port qualified for finals so many times in the past decade and never once made the big dance is embarrassing for all of us who love our club.

But also embarrassing is the sort of revisionist history being put forward by a couple of Crows fans above about how and why their club came into existence. But this isn't the thread to yet again give history lessons. They should just enjoy their finals campaign and move on.
