Why are Port more hated than the Crows?

If you have a problem with someone as an individual, you discuss what your issues are. You only resort to slurs if you are a moron with the emotional intelligence of a toddler. If you resort to racist slurs you are also racist.
How does this "discuss what your issues are" work when the individual in question is a player on an opposition team who has injured one of your team mates during a game?

What if you didn't need to resort to a particular type of slur or mean to but it just came out that way? Tex is from Broken Hill after all, its the language he grew up with. Tex wasn't having a go at the person because of their race, it was because that person had injured a player.

Hinkley was in New Zealand recently. Most likely looking to improve Himself for Season 2025. He had good Assistant Coaches back when our List was average. Now we have a good List with average Assistant Coaches. I don't agree with the Club replacing Hinkley with Carr because we should see who the best available Candidate is by making them go through a Process, like Collingwood did with McRae and GWS did with Kingsley. Or we could see what John Longmire is doing?

It was his second time in thirteen years. Coaches go overseas every year; Josh, at the end of last year, went to Washington to improve his coaching acumen. Ken, for most of his tenure, has sat at home doing SFA.

Take away 2013. Ken has always been unaccomplished in his tenure at Port Adelaide. Any club worth its salt would have sacked him a long time ago. What you disregard is that this Port Adelaide Football Club, a club that until David Koch became president, was a ruthless organization obsessed with winning and premierships, a club that used to be feared by the opposition, a club that was hated, adored, but never ignored. Port Adelaide is a behemoth club; it isn’t treated like one, but we are a behemoth of a football club if a president worth his salt were to bring in someone like Florentino Pérez, the current president of Real Madrid. A coach like Ken would never last as long in his job, in fact he probably would of got sacked in 2015 straight after the Hawthorn game because he is a loser.

Yet you keep defending this loser for reasons beyond my comprehension.

You're right we were once Feared and Respected by our Foes. We were seen as a Behemoth and a Juggernaut. Things are different now because it's not the SANFL any more and Victorians mock us for having Tarps on our Seats and losing a Grand Final by a Record 119 point margin.

Port supporters are quite trusting. A whole mob of them stayed at the Baysie and asked which train takes them to Subi. I made sure they headed to Midland instead and they were happy for the advice.

Anyone that believes this idiot is a Port supporter should change their meds.

Say more about you than anyone else mate. Come to Adelaide and I'd help you find your way. Its boring at the footy without the opposition supporters there.

Congratulations! You continue to embarrass yourself like the dense, simple-minded Crows supporter that you are, Victor.

Your argument here has no correlation to Ken Hinkley, and more specifically, to the fact that the Port Adelaide Football Club still employs him as our Senior Head Coach after 0 premierships in thirteen years. I used Florentino Pérez, our history, and the actions of previous boards as examples because these figures didn’t allow mediocrity to take hold at their football clubs, unlike David Koch and happy clappers like yourself, who have allowed mediocrity to fester into the clusterfück that the past thirteen years have been.

Regarding your recent post—and man, this truly reflects your simpleton mindset—the reason we are neither feared nor a juggernaut has nothing to do with the club not participating in the same capacity we once did in the SANFL or the fact that Victorians mock us for having tarps on our seats or for losing a Grand Final by a record 119-point margin. Just as you and every gullible crow/opposition supporter does, you and Hinkley supporters keep on mentioning this nonsense, basing your opinions on what the media puts out in their protection racket for your boy Kenny and their attempts to cover up his failures as an AFL Head Coach for not winning any premierships, amid all the other nonsense they spew about the club. Anyone with half a brain realises this. It’s about our president being weak, surrounding himself with people who are not footy-minded, people who have direct ties with Eddie McGuire, people who see making finals as a grand achievement and pat themselves on the back as a result of it, and people who simply do not care about, or want, premiership success plus respect and demand for our former ruthless culture to be reignited again that’s the foundations of our club that has allowed us to achieve premiership success in the past.

At the end of the day, my expectation is one (1) premiership per decade (10 years), which, like Hawthorn has achieved, is perfectly acceptable and reasonable to demand. Hawthorn has won a premiership in every decade since the 1960s: '61, three in the '70s, four in the '80s, '91, '08, and three in the 2010s. As Kevin Sheedy used to say, “If you win one premiership per decade, you are doing a lot better than most.”

The Hawthorn model is, in my opinion, the best way to achieve premiership success, unlike keeping a con artist that you cheer for and defend, who in thirteen years will end up with winning zero premierships. Yet you’ll keep using the same dense, simple-minded arguments that Crows supporters and other opposition supporters use, which constantly gets debunked every single time.

My advice is to stop and save yourself from further embarrassment.

See my profile pic. Did it occur to you that possibly Tex isn't generally racist but rather had a legitimate beef against the particular person about whom his comment was made at that particular time?
I wonder why he used a racial slur instead of simply saying he didn't have much time for him. Generally when I have a dispute with someone, I'm not reflecting on what sort of racial/homophobic etc slur could be deployed. I guess we all operate differently. Maybe you operate like Tex.

This much is very clear.

His argument boils down to 'it's okay if you only call black people slurs when you're mad at them'.

When Koch arrived at the Club, we were Drowning in large levels of Debt. I remember the Threats of the Club either being Shipped to Tasmania or being Folded and Liquidated, that's how bad Things were in 2011. So Koch has had to Focus on Financials and keeping the Club Stable with Debt Demolition being Number One Priority. Hopefully the Debt is cleared soon and we can Focus on Footy it would be Great to be able to put more Resources towards The Footy Department and get a proper Coaching Panel put in place.

You talk about the Camry Crows well we have Outperformed Them in Recent Times despite being a Poor Club compared to Them with our Debt Levels and all that. Victorians don't like us I still hear Them discredit our 2004 Flag to this Day "oh Brisbane had Injuries they were Old and Cooked and had to Travel the week before for a Home Final" but the same Victorians were saying that Brisbane were Shoe Ins to win the 2004 Flag after beating St Kilda by 80 Points in the Qualifying Final. Why don't Victorians ever discredit Sydney or Brisbane? Oh because Victorians need Sydney and Brisbane winning Flags to help their Cause in their War against the NRL.

The same Victorians who say that Jonathan Brown was Better than Warren Tredrea? Try telling me that Victorians are not Biased against our Club with a Straight Face, and that They are not Biased towards their Pet Clubs in the Rugby States.

[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] - You’re still embarrassing yourself.

Crows are an inoffensive club created to prevent Port from leaving the SANFL.
Port has a history of pushing their agenda, whether it be applying to join the AFL, pushing for the move from AAMI to Adelaide Oval, wearing the prison bars etc. and it clearly has rubbed people the wrong way over the journey who think we ought to know our place and stay quiet. Even their own supporters are starting to hate them now with these Muppets in Koch and Hinkley in charge tearing out that very fabric of what made us so successful and hated back in the day.
Let's get a few things in perspective.
Firstly, Adelaide Crows Football Club was not created to keep Port in the SANFL. The SANFL was concerned to enter an AFL competition under terms which it found favourable. The 10 SANFL clubs, including Port, repeatedly showed their support for the SANFL position and voted together to delay entering the AFL under the conditions which were being offered. It eventually became public that while voting to support the SANFL position, Port Adelaide was at the same time negotiating behind the scenes with the AFL to undermine the SANFL position. I always felt ' Backstabbers' or 'Scabs' would be a better moniker for them than 'Power'. Anyway they did the AFLs bidding and were duly rewarded with the second licence after the SANFL was railroaded into entering the national competition before it really wanted to.
As far as Port Adelaide's mighty history is concerned, it definitely exists. A great and proud club and worthy of respect. But over about 150 years of footy in SA a flag tally of 36 against that of Norwood's 31 doesn't look that dominant. And if people from Victoria knew about Port Adelaide's ' tradition' and how the 1954 and 1957 flags were won for instance, they would perhaps understand that the reason supporters of other SA clubs hate Port has less to do with their success than other aspects of their history. But for me personally, the treachery of 1996 takes the cake. People will forget of course. And the younger ones don't even know.
And re the prison bars. Port played in 1950 at least in a Collingwood kit. So much for tradition. They're full of it.

The person who managed to finally whip the debt ridden and financially dependent Port Adelaide ( dependent on AFL and SANFL handouts) was not Koch but Keith Thomas ex Norwood champion who was appointed CEO in 2011. He actually managed to get them making a buck and is acknowledged ( though not by you apparently) as the guy who possibly saved the club. Another ex Norwood appointment to the rescue a la big Bob McLean who dragged Port into the 20th century in the 50's. Always rely on someone from somewhere else and then claim them as a Port hero. Fos Williams ( West Adelaide), John Cahill ( South). Most Port supporters don't even know. I heard Jenny Williams ( Fos's daughter) tell supporters who wanted Thomas gone because he was "from outside" to pull their heads in because so was Fos. Pathetic.

David Koch is a Financial Guru who made the Club relevant again very similar to Eddie McGuire and what he did with Collingwood. He organised several Sponsorships for the Club and his Good Work helped bring the Crowds back to Games and ensure the Club no longer needed to put Tarps on the Seats.

We've been better than Carlton in the Modern Era we haven't won the Wooden Spoon while Carlton have won Five of them. We have Carlton covered in other Key Metrics such as Win Percentage, Top 4 finishes, Preliminary Finals and Top 8 finishes.

Don't be a moron the move to Adelaide Oval brought the crowds back & it was put into motion by the previous regime before Thomas or Koch were on the scene.

Port have way more highly punchable heads. Then there's the biggest punchable head of them all.View attachment 2029966

The Crows on the other hand I don't mind. Would be bottom 4 of my most disliked teams.

If you went to a Crows game in Adelaide you will soon change your mind.
