Why do Channel 7 hate football?

A new low for Channel 7. The start of the Geelong v Essendon game, they announced Patrick Dangerfield as the 2016 Brownlow Medallist. He may win the damned thing, but to say it before he's won it is just cheap shit.

It was Titus O'Reilly's pre game piece in which it was said, no? In other words ... umm ... I hate to break it to you ... but they were being deliberately lighthearted about it, and actually taking a shot at everyone who has said he has already won it.

On a more positive note, I only saw a handful of the games this weekend but, in each of the ones being covered by 7, the commentary was light years better than the normal standard.

It was a massive improvement without Basil, Bruce and Rompingwins around. I only hope 7 worked that out, too.

What about those who live in the country - I don't think they get C70hd
I live in a blackspot and like many in remote areas I rely on VAST (a satellite signal)
We do not get C70, my only chance of seeing the GF in HD is if they show it on Mate (being a foxtel subscriber too, I can watch all but the GF in HD)
