Why do you hate Essendon?

- Their players. I absolutely dispise every single player who has ever played for the Essendon Football Club. While I look at other clubs and can appreciate the talents of their best players I think every Essendon player is shithouse. Even "greats" like Lloyd, Lucas, Long & Hird are absolutely shit IMO.

- They bring nothing positive to the game. All their current players are generic, boring hacks. Their best player is Jobe Watson who is the definition of a plodder.

- Their arrogant scum fans. Every time I see a pencil neck Bombers supporter I immediately want to punch them in the face. They also have a higher percentage of red haired supporters than other clubs.

- Their culture. Blame the coach for their terrible list. Turn on their own players (Stanton). Marched two of their greats (Lloyd & Sheedy) out the door. Cheated for a premiership. SCUM culture.

- Their song. One of the worst going around.

- Their mascot. A bomber? What a bunch of flogs.

In summary I want to punch every Essendon player & supporter square between the eyes. I hate Essendon to my very core.

The thing that has consistently annoyed me for years is the number of players who would prefer to play for free kicks rather than go for the ball. You even see it a couple of times in that "last 15 minutes of '99 prelim" that Wookie put up. It wouldn't be so annoying except for the way umpires have been getting sucked in for years (like the dive that Davey took when Thornton gave him a shove for being a loud-mouthed little pest resulting in a double-goal in '09).

They seem to have had more players of that ilk than any other club in the comp, maybe it's a coaching strategy down there.
