Lindsay Thomas - Nothing not to love about this bloke. Elite for his position. Electric. Game Breaker. Can make the impossible possible. Opposition supporters hate him because he's very very good. And that's why I love him.

Swallow is my favourite player.

Not the most talented compared to others in the elite, but has and continues to extract the very best out of himself. Fantastic example on and off the field.

Thompson would be my second pick.

From outside the Roos, the player I respect the most is Lenny Hayes.

Hansen- Because he's lachie "lachonic loogie" hansen that's why. Coped crap from most people for years and many didn't think he'll make it, but he has become one of the best third/zoning off defender in the league with marking second to very few. Here's to 5 more years of lachie torturing poor jack reacher.

So many likeable and Very good players on our list ATM: NDS, Atley, Boomer, Thomas, Wells, Swallow, Goldstein, Black, MacDonald, Ziebell et al, but for mine it has to be Cunnington.

He is just probably the most footy smart player we have on our list and tough and skilled and is building to be a pretty perfect all round player.

Even as a passionate North Melbourne supporter, it's impossible to go past G Ablett Jrn - if he's not now the greatest player to every play the game, he will eventually be acknowledged as such. There are few individuals who are just beautiful to watch. But G Ablett is certainly one.

More than that, he's a genuinely super nice person off the field.

When the Suns were in our city for a NAB cup game, Ablett came to our church. He spent 20 minutes kicking the footy in the car park with my then 8-year-old sons. I've got the best photo of him tackling one of my boys and appealing for a holding the ball! Both Ablett and my boy both have the biggest smiles on their faces.

As far as my beloved North Melbourne, Boomer is phenomenal. Absolute gun player over many, many years and a great public face of the club.

I've watched footy live and tv since late 80s, and only three players have made such an impression to think they are truly freaks in natural ability. Not just awesome players, plenty of those around at the top level for various reasons, but uniquely above that (in no order);

I really like Shultz too, under rated footballer.

Wells by far my favourtie, just looks so silky when he moves, effortless...but i've got a soft spot for Atley, i just want him to rediscover his best form and start breaking games apart with his pace.

Outside of North, could watch Dangerfield all day and Jay Kennedy Harris from what I have seen could be an absolute jet, cant believe we passed on him.

Winston Abraham because his mark against the year in 1998 was what made the six year old me fall in love with the North Melbourne Football Club after flip flopping between whatever team was winning whatever game I happened to be watching (weak!). A couple of years later I was treated to see him in the rooms before we played Hawthorn at Waverley. I was the luckiest kid in the world and also shook the hands of legends like Arch, King and Carey who couldn't have been nicer. Although we got smashed nothing could have dampened what is still probably my favourite day. I still wear Winstons old training jacket he gave me when I see North play

Benny Cunnington has taken over as my main man. When he has footy in hand anything is possible. Will be one of the elite players in the competition in a few years time.

Outside of North I love Nate Fyfe because he looks just so effortless with the way he goes about his footy. Such a freak.

Thompson: Just a brute of a bloke and one of the smartest players in the game, as well as the best defender.
Grima: Lovable larrikin. Can make us cringe when he has the ball, but puts 100% in all the time. Can always rely on him to throw his body in to spoil the ball.
Wright: Personal reasons, but a skilled player who I really hope ends up making it.
McDonald: Kid has grown on me, like everyone else.
Boomer: Champion
Lindsay: Best small forward going around, and bleeds for the jumper.
