Why is Hilton still on the list?

On what basis ? Word around the campfire was that Blumfields attitude was pretty ordinary . The view is he never wanted to be at punt rd. in the first place .

At least Rory has a dip

Based on your views on the Zantuck thread wrennyboy we would have Zantuck out the door first closely followed by Blumfield . And this is how it should be ( no offence )

The fact that Blumfield came to another club and
persisted with a cowardly attitude speaks volumes
about his shortcomings.

Little baby !

If i was coaching and he were picked up by the bombers
I'd make sure he left the ground on a stretcher.

******** him.

I'm surprised Hilton is still around as well, I would have expected the club to try and trade him and if they can't then delist.

you never kno what tw may be thinking..... could use him as a small forward or a tagging role??? maybe thinking of trading him?? or could delist him later on as JEZZA had said.

from comments i heard terry make on white line fever, i think he sees something in rory. not a big deal really, he will spend most of next year on the long term injury list which will allow the promotion of a rookie if we want. then he can have a shot at resurecting his career. is a handy player if he can get over the injuries.

Agree that he is a handy player, obviously has some talent but I question his commitment at times, which may have to do with him being fairly injury prone. If he's on a fairly minimal contract then he could be worth keeping for a year under TW to see what he can do.

Hilton has been with us for about 6 years and he would have played about 10 very good games in that time. Too many injuries and when he gets the chance he only plays one good game in every 5. He's rubbish ;). I'd rather persuade Zantuck to stay

why do you want zantuck to stay so much? he hasnt done ******** all for the club... dont get me wrong, but he can be a good footballer at times! but if he wants to boost his career he has to find elswhere, and that is what he is doing. he doesnt have true passion to be at our club so why would we persuade him to stay?

You said it all right there. We've had this guy on the list for years. And for what.
He was going to be delisted before doing his knee a few weeks ago and now we keep him? I was hoping we'd stopped providing a retirement home for some of these guys when we retired Kellaway.D. and Rogers. It appears we havn't.Chuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum(p)!

If we didn't have so many rookies who need game experience, i'd say keep him. But I do applaud him for some of his gutsy efforts.

I remmeber plough on 3aw asking the question to the rest of the team, (it seemed like he was thinking out aloud more than anything) posing the question what would you do with rory?, in a nutshell he said, hed probably give him a chance b/c hes just entering that age bracket where the body has matured for senior footy 24+ still with potentially plenty of footy left in him.

Theres no doubt he sees something in Rory, I also remember him stating (i think it was after we beat them by 2 points in the knighter V libba return bout) that players like rory are very good and damaging wen they are running ahead of the ball, or something to that effect.

he probly thinks he has been poorly coached, and lets face it, he is right. plough just may have some plans for him that might work. spud had him all over the place, and he never had a chance to settle into a position. remembering hilts face when he threw his boots over the fence after doing his knee, the guy has feeling and may take one last chance with both hands.
