If the coalition had achieved such a magnificent result anywhere there would be no end to the crowing.

I’ve had enough of being humble

Your team is crap and you’ll be bottom six for a decade. Enjoy the early draft picks. Oh wait you don’t get this either. That’s why some of the candidates put up resemble the dregs on the washroom floor.

At least all your remaining mps will get portfolios

Most of the state Liberals interviewed last night were quite humble in their concessions. Feels a bit harsh to kick them while they're down

That said, if/when Sukkar, Dutton, Tudge et al. all lose their own seats, and still refuse to take responsibility for the shit agenda and muppet show they've brought upon us, it's open season.

Yes Jeff and Bracksy were like two reminiscing footy players. “Remember the time I whacked you just before quarter time, and you got me back in the third....”

I'm saving it up for when this incompetent, morally corrupt federal government is shown the door.

I think it's this in a lot of ways. Although last night was a huge win in its own right, there is a sense in which it's just half-time and although we're 8 goals up, there's still a Grand Final to win.

I think a lot of ALP/Greens supporters see removing the federal LNP as being the end goal.

Defeating the Victorian Liberals would have been nice, but maybe not quite the same thing.
Oh defeating the Victorian Liberals was an incredible victory! I understand the wider focus on the federal election but as far as the day to day impact of politics, the transformation vision of the Andrews government is something I have not seen before in my lifetime.

Merely speculating from an outsider's perspective.

The current QLD ALP government is fairly middling. They aren't well to the right of centre like the current QLD LNP and they are better than the later Beattie/Bligh governments (who drank the privatisation kool-aid) but it's difficult for me to say that they have a transformative vision.

Any federal Liberal seat with less than a ten percent margin, is gone next election.

White out

I want Dutton's friendlier geographic and political bedfellow (Luke Howarth) to go as well. He's a right-winger residing in a centrist electorate.

But Queensland LNP member Luke Howarth – the man prepared to move a spill motion against Turnbull that precipitated the events that led to the coup – takes the cake. He said, “Australia should go ahead with the [Jerusalem embassy] move despite the threat of economic consequences.”

Need to sort out the shit fighting right now or they have guarenteed labor at LEAST two terms

Just in case we were in any doubt how the Libs think, Howard’s Massachusetts comment reminds us how sydney centric the Libs are, and how much contempt they have for people beyond conning their vote off them

We could run posters of him with his commentary during the federal election

Thanks John always the campaigner
