I dont know much about the NRL, but I assume there's a rugby side in the GWS area. Could be a smart move to go similar colours.

Wests Tigers - orange ["gold"] and black. And this is exactly why I don't think GWS should use orange. They need a distinct identity that can't get mistaken for a current AFL or NRL side.

I think the Gold Coast have a pretty good colour combination. Very lifesaver-ish. Not sure about the jumper design though.

There's quite a few in that area - Wests, Parramatta, Penrith (and possibly Canterbury, depending on definition). Wests are Orange, Black and White, Parra are Royal Blue & Gold, and Penrith are Black with a little white (and blue for their away strip).

I think that green and gold should only be avoided when the national team for that sport wears it.

It would look stupid if a domestic cricket team wore green and gold, because the national team wears it.

But for AFL where we have no real national team, and the one we sorta have have wears blue, so i don't see an issue.

The colours should be used.

Wake up that's an old Woodpeckers jersey Green yoke and cuffs.

Are you from SA?

I love the old Newton Heath throwback strip United wore in the early 90s.
Unfortunely unless the Green and Gold protest is successful, it won't be back for a while

Clubs that wear Green and Gold off the top of my head; Leopold (Geel), Leongatha (Gipps), Hill End (Mid Gipp), Old Northcote (VFA), Werribee Centrals (Geel Dist), Lake Wendourer (Ballarat), Murchison, Garfield (Ellinbank) and Yarra Junction (Yarra Vall).

I'm going to include Dromana (MPNFL) as their colors up until recently were predominantly green and gold, even when they changed from the Grasshoppers to the Tigers in about 1995.
