For those who have read the Yellow and Black Konrad Marshall book this is an awesome line that became a theme of our 2017 premiership. For many fans 2017 was the best year of our lives as Richmond supporters.

So for 2019 I'm running with #whynotus

This really resonates with who we are as a club right now, the hunters once again in 2019.

So why not us!

Yes. You're very perceptive. We used it back in 2004. Numerous other baseball, basketball and NFL teams have used it since. Cubs, Falcons, Wolverines to name a few. So "why not us" as well.

Nothing wrong with that, there are a heap of terms and messages used across global sports and teams that are shared.

It was actually a key message delivered by Hardwick throughout the 2017 season numerous times in team meetings and pre game addresses. And it summed up the year perfectly.

I love it.

Yeah that's fine, but recognise that the term was used by and large for teams like us in '17, the Red Sox in 04, the Cubs in '16 who hadn't won a championship or premiership in donkey's years i.e. why cant we win it instead of the same old names ? Bit hard to apply now we've done it in '17 and we are favourites with a lot of people this year. Doesn't matter anyway. I know you're only using for personal purposes anyway. All good. (I'm running with 'Time for Twelve" this year. Pretty lame but anyway...maybe I should just go with "Just smash everyone Richmond." )
