I'd be the first to agree/say Mackie was hopeless against the Swans and had a very ordinary year but not sure it's lack of effort. I agree with the above that Mackie may seem like he is not trying but he most certainly is. Have heard many commentators and experts say they believe he is one of the hardest runners in the game. Does need to lift a bit though but he will.

Yeah! But the week before,he had 31 disposals!
He's been an integral part of the back half, which is why we've won 49 of 52, or something like that. The forwards are the weak link always have been, but lately have started to improve.
And Shannon's always got more of it than Varcoe, who doesn't do enough, my view.

But I like them both in the same team with Byrnes going much better this year than previous years. Except his game against Brisbane of course.
