why do we go out wide so often? for the 1st three quarters we took the ball wide on almost every occasion but in the last quarter we were looking to take it through the guts and look at what happened. why don't we use the corridor more often, we are a much better team when we do!

Who knows!
Could be the opposition forcing us wide, and we do use it as a tactic to create space. If we have wins like we did today, who cares. We have beaten a very very good team today, and on a track that suits them right down to the ground.

every team is better off playing down the corridor, but i do see your point...

The corridor would be used every time if possible, it's the way team's push numbers back that makes us go wide. Basic's of footy is to go wide from defence and use the corridor when going forward. Bit hard though when loose defenders are sitting there waiting to pick off your forward 50 entrie's. Best way to do this si move it on quickly which we seemed to do in the last quater, wish we did every game

took the words out of my mouth..:thumbsu: but keep in mind carlton is a young confidence team, when things go well we play direct...but when things go bad we tend to chip around out wide, to allow the run with back flankers the chance to reposition in case of a turn around...this will continue to happen unfortunately, untill they mature a bit more...in saying that what a win against the doggies!:D
