I know he re-signed for a year but I agree we should tie him up for longer. I would have played him in the prelim instead of Howe. He did well against the Crows and Howe struggled against the Lions.Need to extend this kids contract.

I think it was a correction or a trigger rather than a re-sign. Our list looks pretty stable. Parker, Frampton, Smit, Allan and Chrisp seem the important ones. Not sure how important Crisp is tbh. He’ll probably resign anyway but he’s on the other side of the hill these days.I think it was a correction or a trigger rather than a re-sign. Shades of when we were all devo as it was announced that Bucks at the peak of his powers on the field had resigned. He is important, and I hope he doesn’t resign.

He was down in 2025 but not out. I want to watch him perform in 2026.Not sure how important Crisp is tbh. He’ll probably resign anyway but he’s on the other side of the hill these days.
Was it Steve Quartermaine?Shades of when we were all devo as it was announced that Bucks at the peak of his powers on the field had resigned.![]()
Crisp’s value largely depends on his pay grade imo.Not sure how important Crisp is tbh. He’ll probably resign anyway but he’s on the other side of the hill these days.
At the point of major veteran transition the almost oldies can have increased value, if performing.Crisp’s value largely depends on his pay grade imo.
If he plays on at a low-senior squad/depth salary, he will be invaluable. If his demands or the market don’t allow us to give him a pay cut, he might not be great value.
We’d have to balls it up pretty badly to get burned by re-signing him, though.
Given the Australian Test squad hasn't developed a Test quality leg spinner under 30, there's our biggest risk! May Cooper Connolly continue his ascension.Contracted next year. I reckon we’d be working hard to extend him, especially with our likely retirements in 2026
Not the first defender who started out with poor kicking (I still remember those young Maynard kick ins) though as long as he kept his opponent limited, then he holds his spot.Wil kept the aints tip rat to one goal. He also played his role in making it verhy hard for their forwards to get a clear run at the ball.
His kicking needs improvement, but it will improve with more exposure to the level of pressure...
