Will Dawes replace Cloke this week?

Well on last weeks form alone it would be an injustice if Dawes played and McCaffer wasnt promoted off the rookie list.

McCaffer kicked four goals in his first game in a few weeks, yet Dawes has not kicked more then 1 for a few weeks.

I think we will see Dawes begin to fully develop next year, 18 months after doing his knee, as has been shown in the past from previous knee reco players like lockyer.

No. Whilst it would be great to blood another youngster it would be a mistake because he simply is not ready.

I think with Cloke out, it may mean Iles replaces him.

Nathan Brown to play in the forward line as he may not have a match-up with the Bulldogs' small forward line and Wakes is already down there.

Another scenario could be bringing in Wood or JA as his replacement.

Right this game off, play the young guys, Dawes, McCaffer, maybe McCarthy and let the injured boys get themselves ready for the Sydney game.

It would be good to see both Dawes and Reid playing along side each other across the half forward line. It would be a sign of years to come.

I put this on another thread but IMO I think it would be a big mistake bringing in Dawes. I think he should get a game soon but only next to either Rocca or Cloke to take off some heat.

I think that we will either bring in Wood and play Fraser or Bryan in the forward line or bring in Anthony and play Brown in the forward line. I think Brown could be the way to go actually as he has size and pace which will worry the dogs and did quite well at the start of the Melbourne game.

There is no doubt Neon was still suffering from the ankle and that Pendlebury, although still handy, was very much restricted.
It really irks me that Mick played blokes who were injured when we could have kept Cox and Cook (for toughness) in the side, or even brought in Stanley or Iles for the extra run and clean disposal. Giving these blokes some game time in front of a big crowd would be invaluable should we have injuries going into the finals.
It also made me really angry that Wood wasn't brought in and Bryan played up forward in Rocca's absence.

In a word NO.

Reid will play the lead up CHF role like he did against carlton. Medhurst will play at FF like he did when Rocca first went out against essendon.

Wood may well come in and one of the rucks will then go foward if we needa bigger body down there

Along with Macaffer, Dawes was named as one the best from last weeks game against the bullants.It was because of his constant presenting up forward that allowed Macaffer to play deep forward and convert goals.
Bring in Dawes !

Dawes and Reid both up front line be a little optimistic. John Anthony could probably make more of a contribution at this stage.

Reid, Dawes and Brown in the forward line, and bring in JA into the backline. Please just do it.

No one can predict what Dawes and Brown would do being focal targets recieving the footy from the likes of Didak, Medhurst and Davis instead of the shyt in the VFL.

For all we know, Dawes could kick 5 and make things hard for Rocca and create that youthful spark thats been needed to REALLY ignite the Magpies this year because the Brown spark has fizzed off, now is the time for the DAWES to open!

Davis, Reid and Medhurst recieving the long balls out of the backline and delivering it deep into the 50 or onto the leads of Rambo & Rocky. Daisy will be there with them crumbing, rotating with Didak and Davis. Why isn't something like that worth a shot?
