He does attack the contest and thought he did some nice things, but he's not ready.
But like others before him, he'll only benefit from the exposure.
6 tackles and 20 pressure acts makes me think he is ready and is playable

And at selection this week you will be proven wrong. His time will come but it is not this time, great encouragement from Fly to give him a taste but like Ryan and TJ before him he won't be seen again at senior level again unless 2 of Booby, Shooter or Beau are missing. Did he play well enough to hold a spot? No, so he's not ready and back to the VFL he will go.

I listed him in my outs, so I don’t think I will be wrong. He’s ready to play but he’s not in our best team, 2 different things

He didn't look any worse than Parker who was playing game 6, nor Mason Cox who was playing game 135.

Game 1 in the books.

Thought he acquitted himself well for his first game. Well done young man. We shouldn't be expecting any more at this stage of his development. Daicos and Sheezel are the exceptions, not the rule.

I reckon both the coaches and the youg fella himself will be happy enough with his first-up performance. He looks like he belongs on the paddock at AFL level. But geez, he needs a feed!!
He's definitely slender, but I was comforted by his ability to stick tackles and bring people to ground. Doesn't seem to be weak for a teenage small forward

Defintiely not weak! I am quietly confident that we'll be seeing more of the young fella before too long. He would have got a lot out of his game and the coaches will be giving him things to focus on for development.
He's a keeper, for sure.

I didn't think Will looked very happy in that interview. He looked a bit deflated/subdued, he's usually a lot more animated.
Live interview on national tv whilst absolutely knackered - he'd be nervous, exhausted and trying to hold his shit together to be coherent.

Seven possessions on the night suggests he's not ready to contribute as does the extremely light frame. Given a taste against a bottom team but a long way to go and back to the VFL for the young fella to develop into a player who can play well enough to hold a spot but it's not this year.
