Toast Will Schofield - 100 games

Another player raises the bat this week with defender Will Schofield set to make his 100th appearance.

Drafted in 2006, Schoey has been in and out of the side for much of his time at the club, largely due to the fact that he's been on a merry-go-round with two other players from that draft - MacKenzie and Brown - for spots in the back half alongside Glassy. Despite that he's resisted overtures to go home to Victoria and stayed at WCE to tough it out. Congrats on the ton and here's hoping he can cement a spot in the side for the rest of the season.

At his best, probably late 2010 to 2012, he was very servicable. Loved his run from the backline, that game against Carlton at etihad in 2011 was one of his best. Well Done Schoey hope there are a few more games to come!

It staggers me he isn't one of the first picked every week. Should be frequently playing HB, wing and HF. There's plenty of talk about the need for versatility, well Will's the personification of the word. Anyhow, congratulations Will.

Definitely not used to the best of his ability, like previous poster said would be used well on the wing, HF, HB. 1 of the most versatile players on our list, should be used more often.

He lacks intensity a fair bit of the time and as such tends to fade in and out of games. He needs to lift that intensity and hunger for the contest if he wants to cement a spot, and unfortunately he has a few mates in the team that sing the same tune.

I heard from a source that he has been disappointed with his form and may possibly be seekinga trade back to vVictoria (possibly geelong). If true, would be disappointed to see him go, love his runs off half back let's hope he build some form this year.
