Plays his 50th game this weekend and as probably his biggest fan would just like to pump up his tyres a bit. While i dont think he'll end up being an out and out star of the competition i do firmly believe he'll pick up an all australian jumper over the journey, become a premiership player and gain life membership with the eagles.

All the best in his fiftieth and if we see the same improvement from games 50-100 that we have seen from game 0-49 then he may just exceed even my expectations and hopes on his career output. :thumbsu:

I still remember Schofield going balls out to chase down Cameron Mooney to save a certain goal when we were 100+ points down in the 2008 smashing.

Loved him ever since, hopefully he continues his improvement and cements his place in the team.

Good memories so far from W.Schofield, one good passage of play was 1st Quarter against W.Bulldogs and how he sliced his way through the midfield to kick it to M.Nicoski. Great to see he takes the game on more and definetly can't wait for him to be even better!

I really like Schoey. He doesn't seem it but he's very LeCras-like and slick when facing oncoming traffic. Loves his fakeouts and weaving through. Big fan.

EDIT: I do not mean his driving.

This.

135 points down, nearly 30 minutes played in the last quarter and he still gave three efforts against two Cats (I think the other was Chapman) culminating with spoiling Mooney's kick on the goal-line to force a point. It was at that point I thought "this bloke's going to make it".

Looking forward to what the rest of his career will bring us.

Always a huge fan since debut of Will's spoiling, closing speed, run and aggression. He always just lacked size and strength back then to hold his ground but he has grown a lot over the last 2 years and rarely gets beaten.

He has taken his game to another level with not only his run but most importantly his kicking and decision making as he has made some scintillating runs through the midfield and used his peripheral vision to hit some targets no one else would have the courage to.

GUN.

Was anything but a fan last year and early this year - but he has improved out of sight and been an instrumental part of our resurgence the last 2 months

Glad he has proven me wrong

Never understood the criticism he gets on this board.

Seriously quick and agile for a big guy, has nice footskills and vision and loves to attack.

I think in time he could even be our real versatile player who can go forward when needed or even up onto a wing/into the middle.

Yeah I've always liked Schofield ever since he played a few premature games in 07/08 (?). Good negating player and loves going for a run.

Needs to work on his marking when the ball is kicked high and hangs in the air (he's dropped a few recently), but gee, you'd think he has a lot of improvement in him and I can't wait to see him after another 50 games.

Ditto MacKenzie, who has other issues, but is a fine prospect.

Top work West Coast in developing non-first round KPDs, and not going down the mature-age rookie road that Fremantle seems to love.

Both E-Mac and Schofield are younger than Silvagni. In fact, younger than every KPP on Fremantle's list except for Houghton and Clarke (and maybe one or others). This is fairly irrelevant, but I have had it with Dockers supporters calling them hacks.

Could've brained him for spraying that exceptionally gettable goal yesterday, but overall i've been impressed with his season.

Never rated him before, so he has come along way for mine.

I remember at one point yesterday when we were chipping around struggling to get it out of defence, Shoey gets it at defensive 50 and goes for a jog in the middle and hits up Lynch on the lead who get's it inside 50 - a scoring opportunity from absolutely nothing.

Was responsible for the goal in the last quarter. Shouldn't of let his opponent run behind the defence.

Has been solid since his scrappy couple of games at the start of the year. Liked that run he did that resulted in a behind.

Our version of Mackie but better still very underrated, as is Eric MacKenzie (Such a Gun at such a young age)

Remember that, was brillaint by Schoey

Loved it yesterday when he was behind S Selwood and just overtook him easily, got the handpass and went on for a shot at goal. Unfortunately he missed but geez he looked fast.

Will be a very telling footy player for us for a long time - love his dash and carry. His overhead marking is improving a lot too.
