Will Viney do a Roos?

If my memory serves me correctly paul Roos took over as interim coach for the swans not sure of the year...and he impressed that much that members and the administration of the club pressured him into staying on a head coach!

From my first impressions of Viney as coach I feel he is the quality and ability to succeed!

However right now I have malthouse as my number 1 preference!

Thoughts?

You may be right on Roos & if Viney can deliver us a flag Like Roos did for the Swans, I'll give him money each week from my own pocket to get it.

With all due respect, what are you basing this on? The only first impression is an interview where he said he didn't want to coach and he will do all he can to pull us through the next 5 weeks. Legend of the club but far too early to even suggest he would have the quality and ability to succeed. I'm not saying I don't want him to succeed but we have nothing to base it on yet.

Almost anyone sounds impressive when they first start. It's all about what they can generate in the playing group. Ideas don't always translate into results. That's what makes a special coach - they know how to harness a group of people and get them working as a cohesive force. Far too early to speculate on what Viney will be like in this regard and 5 matches is probably not enough time to take a risk on him next year, even if he did want the job - which he says he doesn't.
