Do we all think that we can bounce back after such a pathetic performance?
If we play like we did against the crows, the blues will surely beat us.

Without a doubt

We wouldnt be Port Adelaide if we couldnt. We have been flogged by more before. ie Kangas and Essendon last year.

First quarter next week will be huge - first 10 mins especially

I'd say yes. Although you'd want to turn it around, your last 5 quarters have been horrible.

Burgoyne back will help, I'm not sure who else will be available to come back in your team though. Apparently Carlton have some injury problems and Camporeale may be cited on video.

A similar thing was said for Collingwood vs Carlton, and hey, they beat us.

I'm not expecting too much other than a flogging (I shudder to think what Treadrea will do to our no-man defense) - but at least I hope they're competitive and Fevola finds some form.

PB wil be a huge inclusion. Maybe Ezard - we lacked pace. Probly missing our 4 quickest players today

Pickett
SB
PB
BIsh

Throw in Surj - thats alot of pace.

Further more - u think we were probly missing a player on each line. IN Bish (FB), S Burg (HB), PB (In the middle), Pickett (HF), Toby (FF)

I know they are excuses - im just tryin to find how we may improve

Apart from Snr. who else is due back this week??
We will bounce back next week. The pressure will be poured on from the various media outlets throughout the week and we will come out all guns blazing vs Carlton. Today was a one off performance we will not play THAT bad again for a long while.
We just have too try and keep the faith, the boys will turn it around. After all they have too realise that another effort like that is totally unacceptable and will spell huge trouble for the rest of the season if they dont pull thier collective fingers out.

You don't realise how important Bish is until he's injured. We miss him desperately. I really hope he get's back next week otherwise Fev and Whitnall will wreck havoc on our backlines. Both would be a little too big for Grew and Charlie. Of course Chad could decide too play some accountable footy, which certainly would be lovely too see.

Wakes will get Fev and do a good job ..

u rekn Whitey could play on Whitnall ( he has the engine and has played down back in SANFL) just a thought

But they are depleted down back too so tredders and ladey should step up..

I think our midfield at least breaks even with theirs - The roach to ****** stevens PB back. Campo out suspended. I think he has a poor record and i rekn he may get one..

Who gets Kouta?

It'll be Wakelin on Whitnall, Bishop on Fevola

If Carlton come over and beat us after the pathetic display yesterday, the alarm bells will go into overdrive!!

We simply have to win next week to stop the rot.

Injuries and suspensions are one thing, but there are no excuses for the loser mindset we have fallen into at the moment!!!

How's Chad? Is he injured or what? I haven't heard anything since yesterday. Mind u, it's not like I've gone looking either ... ;)

POssibly Bish I heard (hope so)

I rekn a ruckman and Poulton to be dropped next week. chaplin may come in if bish doesnt get up

So im guessing
Out - Poults Primus??
In - Bish PB

unfortunately Bisho wont be playing this week...

I've heard Bish won't be coming up. Surjan is a chance and Salopek will be cleared to play again - could he be a surprise selection? I guess it would be a bit of a worry with so many underdone/out of form midfielders at the moment.

Given our lack of crumbing forwards I wouldn't mind seeing Elijah Ware getting a game, just sitting in a forward pocket at the big mens' feet.

I would've thought Brad Symes was an obvious nomination

I thought Ware only cos I've seen him actually play that opportunist forward role at Centrals. He even kicked a few in one of the finals last year IIRC. And he's bloody quick!

But to be honest, it's all tinkering at the edges until we get some attitude readjustment and they start to show some genuine hardness and commitment again. It surely can't all have been due to Carr and Hardwick, can it? I hate to say this but we look a bit like flat track bullies at the moment (except we aren't bullying anyone much) ... can get up in front of our home crowd, but in front of an 'away' crowd, sink without a yelp.

I bit the bullet and looked at the paper this morning, they list Cornes as a bruised shin or some such, so I assume he'll be ok for Saturday?

I really don't think that crumbing forwards are half as important as winning in midfield. If we do that, we can live without crumbers.
