I am just wondering, come end of round 22, will we have had the largest ever attendance in a year for a team finishing last? With games against Collingwood and Essendon still to come, I suspect we will be eclipsing the previous record. If this is true, imagine if were in Geelong's position on top of the table, the crowds we would be drawing!

:)QUITE possibly the case, but we've been pretty fortunate with circumstances this year.
Two games v Collingwood, who are firing and drawing big-time, twice against Geelong, who are are also drawing crowds, v St Kilda was Robert Harvey's first in Melbourne after his 300th in Perth, a bigger than expected crowd v the Hawks which was at worst three fifths Dorks supporters and the unexpected round 21 bonus of Hirdy and Sheeds's last game in the black and red in Melbourne. That Bombers game could draw 80,000-90,000 - what do you think it would draw if the Bombers were no chance of finals and we had still only won one game for the year? What, 25,000?
We've been fortunate, but I have been notiving less and lessTiger supporters at games as the season drags on.
Only 22,000 or whatever it was for Richo's 250th speaks volumes. Playing a better supported team would have bumped the crowd up 20,000, yet we had to make do with 300 odd Port supporters.

Sorry Goldust but ... IRRELEVANT!!!!!!!!!!!!

First time we played the Pies they were 1 & 1, we were 0 & 2, and both clubs were expected to have bad years. Blockbuster? No more than any Richmond v Collingwood game.

This week, a slaughter on the cards, Richmond home game, expected rainy evening. Blockbuster? Uh uh.

Round 6 against the Cats, they were 2 & 3 and coming off a belting at home by the Kangas (who no-one rated), we were 0 - 5, and it was at the Dome. Blockbuster? Not in anyone's language.

Round 18, Kardinia Park, 1st versus 16th and only 21,951 turn up. Blockbuster? Maybe in Echuca.

Robert Harvey's 301st game? Stretching it a bit.

Bigger than expected against the Dorks? Not really. We always pull a crowd to these games (even in Tassie they overfill the stadium) - which I think was Yellowandblackbloods original point.

Sheedy and Hird's last Vic game will be a bonus, but that would be the only one that could be considered as "fortunate".
