Wilson is good

I am biased on this one, but I think Wilson does a good job for us and is particularly important for next week's game, which will be hotly contested.

I know he didn't kick any goals today. But I don't think you should underestimate just what an impact he has on the minds of the opposition defenders and therefore his teammates.
He scares the hell out of every opposition player and does the hard yards. We haven't had anyone doing that since Wilson (Peter) and Langdon.

For some reason, our midfielders don't kick to him and Judge sticks him on the bench for half the match. Not just this week, but every week.

As someone said on 6PR (I think it was Watters), Wilson does better when we don't dominate the midfield, because he gives a contest. ie we just boot the ball up there and he can come through like a train allowing the smaller forwards to pick up the pieces. There is no way we will dominate the Freo midfield the way we did with Saint Shambles today.

Stick with Wilson! You know it makes sense.

I totally agree. I think Wilson when in his moods can be great to open the forward line and allow the crumbers to swoop onto the ball. MM did use Langdon in this way too and I think he would love to have had Troy in his side back then. If Willow is not playing well, then yes bench him, but maybe, to also allow McIntosh into the forward line of the bench in place of Wilson if he is not playing well. It may keep McIntosh chances of injury down, and if Wilson is playing well, then we all know AH can play at the other end of the ground if needed be.

Good comments, I think he should play the rest of the year in the position. What's the story with rookies can they be added to a teams list at any time or has the time passed to add rookies to the list. I was thinking of Buzsan will he play for the Eagles or stay in the WAFL for the rest of the year.

My understanding on the rookie list is that Buszan had to be promoted prior to 1 August, so basically he's in the WAFL for the rest of the year.

Of course he could still make it up for next year's AFL list, presumably in place of Wilson or Cummings (unless we are playing a very large forward line!).

I agree too - we need Wilson to clean up the opposition and make room for him to lead/our players to come into the play. A physical presence is needed in any good team (North has Pickett, Essendon have Mark Johnson)

Well i too am a Wilson fan and i think he should play in the Derby. But at heart im a Cummings fan and he has a good track record against the Dockers, he kicked 5 on the weekend and he would be looking for a recall.

McIntosh should start forward though as Carroll, Glass, Collica and co seem to be playing well in defence, if we get in trouble though Milli can always go back. I think its a good idea to leave Wirrpunda forward too.

Wilson or Cummings?? Id rather Cummings cos im a Scotty fan but if Wilson plays this week i wont be pissed off as i enjoy watching him knock out players
