I thought Kyrie got the choice of either trying for the Dreamteam someday or being guaranteed a spot on the Boomers and chose the obvious choice?
I'm not saying he should've declared for the Boomers at all, of course he's an American. What he should've done is migrate to England and become the greatest English Basketballer of all time, right alongside Murray, the greatest English Tennis Player of all time. After tonight, he's probably regretting he didn't.

Not sure, like most American sports my interest waned significantly once it stopped being televised on FTA.

I see it occasionally on Foxtel (and by occasionally I mean hardly ever)- looks pretty tame.

Not interested unless someone takes off their skate and tries to stab someone.

Conflicted because I hate Stuart Broad but approve of this tweet.

Watched it at a pub here in London, they are pretty happy obviously. Full credit to Andy, he came out and played well, using his variety to his full advantage. And especially after his club level performance in the quarters, he peaked at the right time. Thought Djokovic was off his game today but the matchup is so brutal any weakness in performance tends to be exhaggated. Not the highest quality match but the tenseness of it all made up for it. Still better quality than the US Open final but that's not hard.

I'm kind of expecting a slump from Murray

So you don't have any analytical data about anything do you? What's more you assume he loves England and he has British pride, how about you go and find some evidence to support that assumption eh?
He is a proud Scotsman and like most other Scotsmen and women he couldn't care less about Britain and that's clear to anyone.

Well we will see next year whether that is the case.

What is clear as day is that winning Wimbledon means miles more to him than winning one of the other slams - why is that?

With the weight of expectation now off his shoulders, could we see Murray become even more successful, winning more slam finals and ascend to world number one? I hope so.

He will win 1 or 2 more slams but I don't reckon he has the game to totally dominate tennis. He played very well yesterday but i still thought he was quite defensive and relied on a heap of novak's unforced errors. Having said that he looked to attack more on the big points where he would normally sit back and play passive tennis so credit to him.

What on earth has next year got to do with it other than he'll undoubtedly be back as the reigning Scottish champion.
Wimbledon means more to him simply because its recognized as the biggest of the grand slams.

People selling Murray short by saying Djokovic played badly. Murray made Djokovic play badly.

I don't reckon this is a changing of the guard though. Despite having won Wimbledon, grass is Djokovic's worst surface. Generally Murray has the advantage over him on the quicker courts. Suspect Djokovic will continue to dominate him on slow hardcourts, and clay especially.

I left off the first part because I wasn't referring to Andy Murray in that comment - you said that 'it's clear to anyone' that 'most Scots couldn't care less about Britain' - the vote next will show whether this is really the case, polling seems to indicate not.

Who cares about Clay... Nadal will win anyway ;)

Murray played magnificently, and well done to him. For Djokovic to of won he would of needed some resemblance of a net game and an ability to overheads properly, on top of his massive defence. This is what he needs to do to stay at the top ahead of him.

But playing at the net is dead and uncool now.
