If Murray breezes through it is a massive advantage. Raonic has had to play back 2 five setters and a tough 4 setter against Querrey to get to the final. I favour Murray in the final unfortunately.

Raonic had little to lose which could help he can swing and go for broke. Can be dangerous

Raonic in 5

That's an interesting tip?

Seeds out from the Semis:

3rd seed Roger Federer - Loses 480 - 5945 - Finalist to Semis
8th seed Venus Williams - Gains 540 - 3656 - 4th round to Semis
10th seed Tomas Berdych - Gains 540 - 3490 - 4th round to Semis

Wooden Spoon:

If Serena wins -> Kerber -> Venus Williams -> Yaroslava Shvedova -> Lucie Safarova -> Jana Cepelova -> Garbine Muguruza -> Camila Giorgi
If Kerber wins -> Williams -> Elena Vesnina -> Dominika Cibulkova -> Agnieszka Radwanska -> Katarina Siniakova -> Caroline Garcia -> Cagla Buyukakcay

If Murray wins -> Raonic -> Roger Federer -> Marin Cilic -> Kei Nishikori -> Andrey Kuznetsov -> Gilles Muller -> Santiago Giraldo
If Raonic wins -> Murray -> Tomas Berdych -> Lucas Pouille -> Bernard Tomic -> Roberto Bautista Agut -> Mikhail Kukushkin -> Martin Klizan

Williams v Kerber
this game will be decided and won on the serve. Despite how well Kerber is playing; her serve is a real worry point. though she hasnt dropped a set this tournament, she was broken numerous times v Venus, and Halep twice tried to serve out a set against her. if she can get the rally into neutral, i will back Kerber 75% of the time. thing is, 75% of the time, Williams will be on top of the rally after 2 shots.

Willaims will win a set and the match if u are relying on breaking her to win you games. Kerber will get more balls back than anyone else on the tour(and a lot more than Vesnina) but there is a limit to what you can do with a 190K serve on the line.

of course the last final these two played; Kerber won. but on grass, i give will the edge to the better server and the more powerful hitter. and that is Willaims. i dont think she will let this one go and she is playing the best tennis for her year so far.

Williams in 2.

Murray v Milos

I can only see Murray here. Raonic is not a choker, but it is a big game for him and you would still expect to see nerves.

Murray is a great returner, and i expect to see him to try to make Milos play a lot of extra balls. Milos struggled against Goffin in the r.16, when Goffin minimised the serve in the first 2 sets. i sort of expect him to struggle again if murray does the same thing.

I think Milos might be able get on top in one set, similar to the Queens a couple of weeks ago between these 2. but i cant see him keeping up with that level, or Murray not adapting. Once Murray adapted in the final at queens, he broke Milos 4 times or something like that.

i cant see the pressure getting to Muzza and he deserves this title. if milos is any chance, he will have to win the first set.

Murray in 4

Federer choking, foxing and ultimately losing, and the deathly silence around centre court that followed brought a tear to my eye. Beautiful stuff.

Must shit an opponent so much having to put up with all these privileged bandwagon w***ers that turn up to centre court only to be seen in their wayfarers and slicked back hair and because they can afford it, then proceed to join in the Federer circle jerk - reality many of them probably had never heard of Raonic. Cheering Raonic's faults and Federer's lucky let cords. Gee wizz.

And where is Federer's criticism when he took an injury time out, twice. If that was Djokovic everyone would be losing their collective shit.

Well done to Milos. Saw a glimpse of an opportunity and took it.

Del Potro is still young enough I'll throw him in there.

Del Po literally doesnt have a backhand anymore. He slices almost everything. Not going to stand up at the business end of grand slams.

Before the Australian Open final, I really felt that Kerber was playing the better tennis. This time around, despite Kerber having not dropped a set I think Serena Williams is playing better than her. The serve will be the decisive factor, and I think it'll be Williams in 2 fairly easy sets (6-3, 6-4 or something similar).

I'll be hoping I'm wrong of course, and you never know what mental demons might arise for either player as a result of their match earlier this year. Kerber might feel lots of pressure to back up her win. Serena might feel pressure to avoid repeating her mistakes again. Either way, Kerber is the only player who could really match an on form Serena Wiliams, so I hope she is able to do it.

As for the men, Murray I guess…?

Berdych is such a pretender. Beats up on minnows but cannot match it with the top players. He's like the West Coast Eagles of tennis.

He doesn't really even beat up on the minnows. Berdych has been in the top 10 permanently since 2010 and he has won seven titles in those 6 years.

It's funny that all these years after Steffi Graf secured the Women's Singles grand slam record of 22, it's another German who has emerged as the leading force standing in the way of Serena Williams breaking that record.

Woodbridge should know that Serena played Doubles @ Wimbledon to practice for the Olympics, not to specifically help her Wimbledon Singles campaign.

Early doors here but Kerber is treading a very thin line with her service game as expected. It'll be good for her confidence to hold this one.

And as I speak she wins it. This match is already shaping up to be a beauty.

Is that Beyonce and Jay Z in the players box?

Right on cue. Last 15 years must've been very difficult for you.

Considering Fed is probably going to have more slams to his name than either Rafa or Djokovic, you'll have multiple decades to wallow in your hate for him.
