Federer and Nadal had to get there 20 odd when Federer, Nadal, Djokovic were sharing them and Murray getting the odd one while Djoka's going to get a few year window here with no true greats to take them off him so he should jump clear by some margin if he stays fit.

That's really not true in regards to Federer, when Djokovic won his first slam in 2008 and Nadal won his first non French Grand Slam (Wimbledon08), Federer already had 12 slams.

He'd done the bulk of his work clearing up during the post Sampras-Agassi vacuum at the top of men's tennis. It was the poorest it's been. He won 11 slams 2004-2007, he wasn't sharing them with anybody.

From 2008-2016 he only won another 5. Of course he then added another 3 in 17/18.

If Nadal or Djokovic swapped birthdays with Federer each would be at about the 30 slam mark now you'd think.

Nadal has beaten Djok 11 times in Grand slams, that's a lot of slams he's been deprived of. He'd almost certainly have more French than Borg if Nadal didn't exist.
