Here's the latest Injury List, as of 30/3/2011, courtesy of the AFL website:
Tony Armstrong (ankle) - 1 week
Ian Callinan (bicep) - indefinite
James Craig (hamstring) - indefinite
Sam Jacobs (hamstring) - 2 weeks
David Mackay (shoulder) - 8-12 weeks
Jared Petrenko (groin) - test
Jason Porplyzia (shoulder) - TBC
Sam Shaw (back) - 3-4 weeks
Rory Sloane (thumb and jaw) - 6 weeks
Daniel Talia (Achilles) - 2-3 weeks
Kurt Tippett (ankle) - 1 week

Fairly sure Armstrong's club suspension gets extended while he's MIA due to injury. Might be mid-season before he's even eligible for selection again.

Interesting that Callinan is listed as "indefinite". By my maths it should be down to 5 weeks by now.

Shaw has been listed as 3-4 weeks for almost a year.

Callinan's injury is far more serious than has been reported; a biceps rupture is extremely bad. If he wasn't a footballer it would be more of a question as to whether he will ever regain full movement and strength in his arm, not how many weeks until he can return.

Hope the 5 weeks is accurate, but he will be playing with a deficit if he makes it back that quick; regardless of how severe the rupture was.

Round 3 update:
Adelaide
Tony Armstrong (ankle) - 1 week
Ian Callinan (bicep) - indefinite
James Craig (hamstring) - indefinite
Michael Doughty (corked leg) - test
Sam Jacobs (hamstring) - 1 week
Jarryd Lyons (ankle) - test
David Mackay (shoulder) - 8-12 weeks
Jason Porplyzia (shoulder) - 4-6 months
Sam Shaw (hamstring) - 3-4 weeks
Rory Sloane (thumb/jaw) - 6 weeks
Daniel Talia (achilles) - 2 weeks
Kurt Tippett (ankle) - test

It's the longest list in the AFL's injury list page. Perhaps not quite as bad as it looks, given that Tippett, Doughty & Lyons are all listed as "test" and Jacobs & Armstrong are only 1 week away.

On the other hand, Callinan, Craig, Mackay, Porplyzia & Sloane are all at least 6 weeks away from returning (some of them are looking at 6 months).

Shaw is still listed at 3-4 weeks, no improvement on last week (stop laughing, this is serious!). Somehow his injury has morphed from "back" to "hamstring", noting that it's been listed as "back" for the last 10 months.

That injury is nearly a week old, so hopefully when it is updated this week, it'll show some improvement.

Round 5 Injury Update from the AFL website:
Adelaide
Ian Callinan (bicep) - indefinite
James Craig (hamstring) - 4 weeks
Phil Davis (shoulder) - 1-2 weeks
Michael Doughty (corked leg) - test
David Mackay (shoulder) - indefinite
Jason Porplyzia (shoulder) - indefinite
Sam Shaw (hamstring) - 1-2 weeks
Rory Sloane (thumb/jaw) - 2-3 weeks
Scott Stevens (ill) - test
Daniel Talia (achilles) - 2-3 weeks
Luke Thompson (ankle) - test

Still 11 players on the list. 6 of those are due back in 3 weeks or less, though I'm guessing Stevens' "illness" may be career terminal.

Of the 11 players on the list, 6 are comfortably in our best 22 and another (Callinan) is borderline.

Hooray, only a couple more weeks until Rory "Undefeated in 2011" Sloane makes his long-awaited return to the Crows side :p

Does anyone have any footage of the Sloane injury (jaw)?

I saw a picture of him coming off the ground after the win with a big grin on his face (have never had a broken jaw so not sure if you can smile without considerable pain whilst your jaw is broken)...

Just curious as to whether the injury happened while he celebrated his 21st with his mates.

Pets alright? Thought I saw him in a moon boot on TV last night...
You may well have done...

From Katrina Gill's report on the AFC website:

Defender Jared Petrenko has reported soreness in the foot he broke last season and will see a specialist on Tuesday. Former NAB Rising Star nominee Phil Davis is still a week away from returning from a shoulder sprain.

Sam Shaw, could it be, reducing number of weeks?
Strangely enough, it just might be. Fairly sure it was still 3-4 weeks in the R4 injury report, now it's just 1-2 weeks.

We might be able to welcome back one of our long-term wounded warriors fairly soon. :thumbsu:

He broke it during the game, in a clash with Johncock:

From what I've previously seen of Sam, this is very good news. Not to mention he's a rangey left footer too.

Very weird that he didn't make it onto the injury list. You told me about this last Wednesday, confirmed it myself by checking his twitter account.
He was due to see the specialist today. I'm guessing that list was compiled yesterday (and released today)?

Possibly, but I would've thought that having happened nearly a week ago, he would at least be listed as indefinite??? Maybe they wanted the injury list to shorten before they add another one to it!
