As part of my triathlon training program we have been encouraged to do a number of sports science seminars.
At one of these the presenter is Ben Wisbey (see below) does anyone know if this is the same Wisbey that does the scouting?
Mr Ben Wisbey is the author of the AFL's annual GPS Research Report for the past 4 seasons and is recognised as a leader both nationally and internationally in the area of quantifying player demands in team sports using technology.
As the Director of FitSense Australia, Ben has consulted to a number of AFL clubs: Sydney Swans, West Coast Eagles, Adelaide Crows and Richmond Tigers and is currently a board member of both the Australian Association for Exercise and Sports Science (AAESS, ACT) and Sports Medicine Australia (SMA, ACT).
Ben also spent 7 years as a sports scientist at the ACT Academy of Sport working with endurance athletes including a number of World Champions and Olympians.
Ben will be presenting the latest information on the physical demands of Australian Rules Football (ARF) using GPS technology and explain how this hi-tech era of sports science is being used to change athlete preparation and game day strategies.
Ben will conclude by revealing what we can expect to see on our sporting grounds in the near future.
