Gee I was hoping that this was about a farmer rather than Farmer.

Why why why do they still bother
i) to go to Northbridge at all
ii) to get grumpy with anyone
iii) act out when pushed?

Mind you, most bouncers probably deserve to be punched, but he's a Perthonality and he should know that it won't just go away once it's done. The potentially good or bad thing is that I would think most clubs would have cameras at most entrances these days, so it may be caught on tape to help or convict him.

repeat offender, where there's smoke their fire, etc etc was what we chucked at the other mob... glass houses come to mind.

I think Jeffrey will be making his WAFL debut in a few weeks time. Can't see him slotting straight into the team now.

Very disappointing Jeff.
 
How stupid do you have to be to be an AFL footballer? Why couldnt Farmer just walk away from the situation, he must know that it would be in the news the next day! Tool.
 
Farmer's absence has been the biggest factor in our poor start to te season. He is a matchwinner and adds incredible defensive pressure in the forward line. With two marking forwards, a small crumbing forward is a danger man who can reak havoc.

If the charges stick, then unfortunately we would have to risk an even worse impact on our season, and get him to play WAFL until he can show that he can manage his behaviour.

The club should continue its planning for life without Farmer.

Spot on. To be in that position with all the other crap going on is just plain stupid.

There should be security footage of the offence so that will tell a lot.
 
I'm very confused. 'Cause I was at the casino last night and I bumped into Jeff there. It was sometime between 12:30 - 1 am. But how is that possible if he was supposedly arrested?

My mate said hi to him and he said hi back, but he did actually have an angry look on his face...

Very confusing...

But you guys never wait if our players do something wrong like this :D


But on the topic, its just crazy how some of these players never learn their lesson... Farmer and Cousins have both had past problems so yould have thought they would have learnt.... And its unfortunate because these solid, entertaining players are not only robbing themselves of a good reputation and playing the game they love, but they are also robbing their supporters... Shame really

Gee, you're really scraping the barrel there. Do you really want to be comparing the precious little 'spiritual' captain, the boy from a 'good family' who has been so sadly led astray, to that big, nasty, evil Jeffrey Farmer from the Dockers, where they don't even have a culture?

Honestly, the day any Freo player is even remotely close to being even half the loser that Cousins is, is the day the club should be shut down.
 
Disappointing, and not an opportunity to fuel club rivalries as far as I'm concerned. Between us and the few incidents your club has had it is starting to make W.A look like a real backwater bogan capital devoid of any sense of behavioural standards.

Yep. Should be zero tolerance as far as I'm concerned. Wiz is on $400k a year apparently, and Cousins $12,000 a week. Too much for people that flout the law. Make a stand Freo !!
 
He's already got 2 weeks to go. The club thought his 6 weeks was unfair, so shouldnt this even it out. Maybe send him to the WAFL for a 20 goal game then get hime back firing. It would almost be worth sending him back to the WAFL just to see how much he destroys that level.

I'd wait to see how we fair the next two games.

2. Suspend Jeff Farmer from the Fremantle Football Club until round 13 at which time Jeff Farmer's future with the club will be assessed following his required appearance before the Board of Directors

The club believes these sanctions are appropriate in the circumstances and will be making no further comment.

What you should be wishing for, Pea-brain, is that your club had the courage to act against players who are moral low lifes, and set an example for young players like Selwood. Instead they condone ANY player actions so long as the team is winning.
