Agreed, don't think Jacko Paine is that dissimilar to Gunston either... and the Cats game was in pouring rain also.

Also Gunston had a late shot v Geelong that missed by under a metre that would have won it. A very good young player. He would have been just as useful at Collingwood as at Hawthorn.

Still Paine is built like the proverbial out house at in 3 years time will be another one on the conveyor belt of Cloke & Dawes.

We have 2 young ruck prospects that look like they could steal woodys spot, but hopefully he plays a blinder tommorow night, i like him.

can't agree with this. coming back from off-season surgery, first AFL game for year. might take little while to get back into it. they'll give him a few games before making the call. ceglar and witts aren't screaming out for a game just yet.

This is the first year in a while that we have had a full time ruck coach, is it coincidence that Bucks is now coach? I doubt it, nothing about Bucks is coincidental. He realizes, as we all have for a while that our rucks are our weak link. Trust Bucks to get to the heart of the matter and take decisive action. I expect improvement from Wood this season, time alone will tell if its enough.

Can't argue with those changes.

They will be a big boost to us in three key ways.

1. Structurally. Wood allows Dawes to play in his more suited role at full forward. Maxwell will have a settling influence on the defence. The loss of Tarrant won't affect our structure.

2. Experience. We are losing two 2 gamers for some experience which will be critical in what should be a hotly contested game.

3. Talent. On balance the players coming in are better footballers. Tarrant is unfortunate but unavoidable and with Keeffes form I don't think he will be an influential loss.
