Well I heard today at our fathers day lunch that Roos really has moved his family to Perth. My uncle in-law has close ties to him here.

Seems if he has moved here there is only one reason he would do this.

Hopefully goodbye Woosh.

Here is an article from the Sunday Times in May 2010:

http://www.perthnow.com.au/sport/af...ear-bid-for-flag/story-e6frg1x3-1225872920215

From that article:

WEST Coast management has endorsed coach John Worsfold's prophecy of an Eagles premiership bid within three years.

Despite a stumbling start to the season when Worsfold clearly had planned to play finals in September, Eagles chief executive Trevor Nisbett has thrown full support behind his coach's long-term development policy.

It is understood Worsfold and his match committee have launched a harsh assessment of their current playing stocks with final decisions on playing futures planned for end-of-season reviews.

Recruiting priorities to bolster the current list are already being considered.

West Coast is crying out for experienced players as well as a crucial injection of speed through its midfield and at ground level around goals.

During that season, leading up to his extension, Woosh said he'd by judged against his belief in the list. So he should be.

That was something I was thinking, E87. I recall back then he repeatedly opined that we would be a force within 3(?) years. To me that is a pretty determinative statement; why should we believe him again? 2 years is a long time in footy, players can decline due to age etc and do we really want to waste it on false promises... again?

Woosh also guaranteed we wouldn't finish bottom during that season.

From that May 2010 article:

"Certainly by 2012 and going into the 2013 season, we believe we have a squad that should be aiming to finish well in the eight and that means they can challenge for a premiership,'' Worsfold said.

"That's the key thing and then there will be a period of about six or seven years, with the group we've got, where we'll be challenging for a flag.'' Worsfold said, after taking the team to 15th in 2008 and 11th last year, they were aiming to finish "somewhere near the eight'' this season.

So should Woosh be held accountable for his major error in judgement? Or should we just rerun the "serious list review" blah blah blah .... From May 2010...

Amazing that speed in midfield was identified as an issue in 2010....

Player reviews are being held Monday and Tuesday

So we will know who else is being axed by then.

My only issue with all this TFS is that its being done on the basis that Woosh IS continuing. It's his list review and his player reviews..... He isn't presenting to the Board until the end of September ....

If it was a serious review of coaching they'd deal with that as a priority ....

I mean a new coach may have a very different view as to who is and isn't required.

Speed in the midfield is overrated

Give me players who are one touch below the knees, accurate quick hands and make good decisions

Our midfield as a collective would be quicker than Hawthorns as an example

Our issue is we don't have much of either.

Noted, the coaching issue should have been put to bed when finals were out of the equation.

We stopped risking players, as such that was the perfect time for woosh to redirect his attention and allow the club to make decisions as of today

However decisions are being made asthe players start their 8 weeks almost immediately
