Ricky Ponting (capt), brilliant player for a decade and a half, seems on the decline.
Michael Clarke, slipping in form but a favourite of selectors
Doug Bollinger, a very good attacking bowler, but has suffered injury issues
Dan Christian, the least worst of the SA team with ferguson who is back to his averageness this season
Xavier Doherty, quality od player, hasn't been effective in the long game
Callum Ferguson, form seems to come and go, was in rich form last year
Brad Haddin, dashing batsman, average keeper, costing us as much as making runs
Ryan Harris, great fast bowler
John Hastings, doing well with the ball for victoria, a good containing bowler, lacks bite
Nathan Hauritz, LOL
Brad Hodge, was an average fC player in the short game, was surprised when selected for the 50 over game on FC form, has improved dramatically in last 2 or 3 seasons in 50 over game, has retired from the 4 day game.
James Hopes, forgotten all rounder
David Hussey, OUtstanding long form game, average to good short form player
Mike Hussey, Mr cricket
Mitchell Johnson, the X factor
Brett Lee, one of australia's great 50 over games, average long form player
Shaun Marsh, Good batsman having a great resurgence in his career
Andrew McDonald, career best form with bat and ball
Clint Mckay, Another outstanding containing bowler with a bit of bite
Stephen O'Keefe, WHAT? can't get a game with NSW, and straight to national colours...
Tim Paine, many consider along with hartley the best keeper in the country, can bat
James Pattinson, what? has hardly played a FC game, along with hazlewood and mcdermott considered the future of australian fast bowling
Peter Siddle, won't go, good attacking bowler, probably lacks the discipline for the short form
Steve Smith, annointed the next best thing, has done ok in his performances for aus so far
Mitchell Starc, another annointed player
Shaun Tait, enigmatic, troubled and talented fast bowler
Adam Voges, solid batsman
David Warner, Flash in the pan
Shane Watson, rapidly becoming an outstanding player with bat and ball
Cameron White. should be an auto selection and should be VC, great leader and solid ODI player up and down the order.

The 2nd most runs in ODD this year, with a fair number of wickets too at a decent average (was also very solid last season too, and rewarded with some ODI and T20's for Australia this year). If you are going to summarise the squad, maybe look up who the players are first. And James Pattinson has played many FC games, what are you on?

christian is average at best over his career but having a good couple of seasons recently.

christian is average at best over his career but having a good couple of seasons recently.

Which is why he is in the team, currently the most dangerous batsman going around in Australia atm, most agree with this too. His bowling has also improved, which is a bonus. And Pattinson is just another raw up and coming fast bowler, who has had a bright start to his career, I doubt he'll make the final cut. And Ferguson has been in awesome form for us this year, along with George and Christian, he is our most important player.
