Strengths - The 'no fear' attitude when it comes to batting, can chase a decent total if a few batsmen get settled, players like Aftab, Bashar, Ashraful can score at a run a ball.
We are a side on the rise so no one yet knows what we are capable of, obviously beating Australia was a significant step toward being competitive in 50 over cricket.
Mushrafa Mortaza and his new ball bowling will be crucial, he's the one who can set games up for us, also slow left armer Abdur Razzaq has a great ODI record with about 80 wickets at 23 and you can rely on Rafique to keep the runs down.

Weaknesses - Can't find a consistent new ball partner for Mortaza, tried many in last 2 years but all to no avail.
Haven't won enough games against quality teams to say we are a real threat and could be too inexperienced in tight situations.
If i had to single out 1 player as a weakness it would be Mehrab the opener, similar to Australia's Katich, scores too slow.
Our bowling attack won't be able to consistently keep sides to around 250, and the West Indies won't suit the sub continent teams.

Key Players - Mortaza, Aftab, Ashraful.

Finishing Position/Target - I wouldn't be too surprised if we were to knock off Sri Lanka or India as long as we are chasing.
The aim for us is to get past the group stage and i think we are a 40/60 chance.
Will not be able to get into semi's as we don't have enough experience and quality just yet.

There are a few Tiger fans on the site. :thumbsu:

I am really looking forward to seeing Tamim Iqbal- he swings like a rusty gate, but if comes off it could be special.

I reckon Rasel has got to play. He add a different element and can swing the ball if the conditions suit.

Javed Omar shouldn't be touring, he cannot get a game.

India is the best hope- Sri Lanka have always had it over Bangladesh.

Oh and mehrab wasn't selected.

In my view Tamim should be kept in cotton wool for at least another year. I think the relative ease with which we've been beating Zimbabwe may have temporarily made us forget how fragile we are against the top teams and the importance of having two openers who can stay in and give us a start. Rajin Saleh should be opening with Nafees.

I'd also prefer Shahadat to Rasel. Rasel may be able to get decent movement off the seam but I'd rather take a gamble on someone who has raw pace.

Mehrab will eventually become a very good test opener for us with Nafees. The unfortunate thing is that he kept making runs against Zimbabwe, thereby making it impossible to drop him and let Tamim get some experience.

I agree about India being our best hope though.
