And when we start playing well and start a season five-zero apparantely we are supposed to be humble. As far as I know, nobody on here believes we will win the premiership. We are just enjoying the ride a little more than a supporter of a successful club would.
If they want us to be humble, christ they haven't seen anything yet. If we win a flag, the while country will hate us because we will make the Bulldogs premiership party look like a kids dollhouse tea party.

There is no doubt Richmond have improved out of sight since last season. You can only beat who you play and the way they are playing at the moment, they would be a chance to knock anyone off. Their next two games are a test, but if they play with the same spirit and stick to their game plan, they should do very will. Being 5/0, it will not be the end of the world if they lose next week. They are certainly capable of beating the Dogs the week after. One player you have to give credit to is Toby Nankervis. I did not think he was that good, but if he can continue with this form, he is just about the most valuable ruckman in the league.

Pardon my intrusion, but well done Richmond, 5-0 is a really good start. I can say that you're definitely not the North Melbourne of 2016. I reckon it's a silly comparison and a lot of posters want to see you fail. It's pretty funny seeing all the haters make excuses for your start to the year and how you'll get a reality check. A lot of salty posters and I reckon it's a complement that that they hate seeing you guys doing well. I think you're a different side to the one last year and even the ones that made finals in the few years prior to that.

I'm very confident you'll make the 8 this year and personally a top 6 side at least. This is an exciting year for Richmond and all of your best players in Rance, Martin, Cotchin and Riewoldt are in or are entering their prime years which is great. This could be a big year where you prove a lot of the haters wrong. I laugh at the posters who think Adelaide will smash you next week. Adelaide look to be a very good side but they're not unbeatable and I think you've got the weapons to hurt them. Your 4 best players I can see having a big impact along with your small forward fleet as well as your other good players standing up.

All I can say is good luck Tigers, take the hate in your stride and enjoy the rest of the year, I think it will be a good one for your mob.

Gotta say Richmond are where they are today because the club finally decided to make some big calls. We got Balme back, Peggy and Gale have done a great job of running the club/business and stayed out of the media, we traded a club legend Delidio (we have never had the balls to do that) and we traded out Ty a big bloke that we invested years in. I believe those calls and the recruiting of Nank, Caddy and Prestia have been the reasons why we have moved in the right direction. We took educated risks and they've paid off.
Our recruiting all be it terrible in the past has been fantastic the last couple of years and we now have a very good list and VFL side. On top of that we have 2 first round picks this year.
Another big thing was the passion and celebration of all our players and how much you can see the boys love Dimma and he loves them.
Martin will resign don't even worry you can't fake the emotion he shows at times and the love he has for Dimma and his team mates and he's playing like a guy that has a clear mind.
No way am I getting ahead of myself but this is the best and (forget about the 5-0) condition on and off the field I have seen the club in and I'm 34.
We have a mini final next week against the crows and it comes at a perfect time, further to that our youth playing in front of 85000 last night is so valuable for there development. Tiges by 14 points next week.

Good call. Heard plenty last year saying that Dimma lost the players when clearly that wasn't the case.

I also think that normally with new coaches they say they are usually better the second time around after only lasting a few years with their first club. Hopefully as we have stuck by Dimma for so long we are seeing just that if you know what I mean.

You guys had periods of sustained finals action and constant preliminary finals, which may have been disappointing at the time, but at least you got to see your team win finals fairly consistently.
