Worst afl player you've seen (and why)

Jackson Nelson

His role is a forward/high half forward correct?

I'll give you some of his averages over 197 games.

Averages less than a goal a game.

As a forward you need to apply pressure, lay tackles etc, correct? Averaging a solid 2 per game ain't getting it done..

Averages 8 kicks per game.

As a forward, those numbers aren't getting it done, he is weak as piss, I've seen countless times where he could've gone harder, but didn't. I never get to work on a Monday and hear any of the boys mention any highlights.

Blokes a dead set crab.
His last 60 games he’s played wing and been mostly serviceable. He’s up there but we’ve seen some worse 200 gamers imo. He’s a skilful kick, brilliant set shot and has had some game winning moments.

Jarryn Geary was one of those blokes who stayed around when his team was junk because he was older and mature. Admirable clubman and bloke, but a lot of below average games out of 207. Dean Solomon mostly sucked and was a massive coward. Josh Hunt was protected by champion defenders at Geelong, and couldn’t cut it when they declined nor at GWS as a leader. Matt De Boer played 220 of mostly junk, but he had a good couple of run with jobs once so people rated him. David Mackay was mysteriously rolled out 248 times for what benefit I don’t know.

Paddy Dow has to be the worst player I’ve ever seen.
Can you believe he was a top 3 draft pick? Now deep into his 6th season and he is still barely best 22.

Zac Dawson anyone???

The actual answer is Brynn Teakle.

In his five full games at AFL level his direct opponents have averaged nearly 150 Supercoach points a game. The most reliable Supercoach captain in the league isn't Nick Daicos or Marcus Bontempelli, it's whoever happens on any given week to be playing against Brynn Teakle.

Ratugolea. Enough said
One of those project “almost guys”
Always seems like he’s just one pre season away to have it all click will play a few decent games where he looks okay but just meh most of the time

My in-laws are mad Geelong fans and watching that game where he 1% spoiled his team mates shot on goal when he was alone in the goal square was an amazing moment to live with them

Morris was ok, but ended up in that "very good VFL player, but not quite AFL standard" group.

A lot of us Tiger fans liked him because he was an honest, hard at it footballer.

I honestly don't recall Morris being that bad?

Worst player I've ever seen in a senior Carlton jumper was Josh Bootsma.
Don't think anyone came close either.

Up there in the top 5.

But at 1 and 2 for me are the two Cams: Polson and O'Shea.

Don't know what SOS saw in Polson to begin with. Could rarely ever find the ball and when he did, never delivered a clean disposal. Almost practically invisible each game. And the only time you would ever notice him was when he constantly ran into the protected area to give away a 50m penalty. I lost count at how many times he did that.

And O'Shea... never before have I seen a defender turn the ball over as much as he did. Practically a full back with ample time and space in front of him. Nearly every kick was down the throat of the opposition. Worst recruit of the 21st century hands down.

Cam O'Shea played 90 odd senior games. Surely not the worst going around
