D-grade commentators who can't be bothering deciphering why the Tigers have won a few games this year. "Their small forwards are providing so much f50 pressure."

It's pretty simple. They cheat, don't run defensively and provide all ground pressure which is why they'll get pumped in September, and why guys like Castagna are quite often loose 35m out from goal on the turnover, and then proceed to wander in with their goofy set shot style and miss by a mile.

When I was watching the game last night I was thinking I bet he features prominently on this thread

Both he and Billy Longer have seemed to alternate between showing real promise and being spuds. It would be good to see both be fully fit and get a full preseason of strength and conditioning in to really see what they can do.

The kid was a rookie pick and had been played as a defender in his time in the VFL. First true season in the AFL and he's got 17.14 in 15 games and does his job. Inaccurate kick and questionable decision making at times, but other than that he's impressive. There's nobody who rates him enough to be considered overrated.

I honestly can't accept Baguley as a candidate.
He is unorthodox sure, and often looks like he is drooling, however, I think he is an established best 22 player for Essendon ATM.

Seen a few bad daw games but never seen someone have a negative impact so much as hickey did. If he wasn't tapping it down Essendon throats deep in his own defence he was spoiling teammates in their forward 50 or letting his opponent take easy marks for goals

Yeah would have to be one of the worst games by a ruckman ever, that tap straight to colyer in the Essendon fwd 50 right on half time was an absolute killer.

He's played some good footy that should exempt him from this thread but on a singular game that was as bad as it gets.

Unless there's some games played qualifications, some of the suggestions in this thread are a pisstake.

The WORST players you've ever seen aren't the ones that are ugly or piss you off because they kicked easy goals.

It's the players like Courtney Johns and Ty Zantuck who I'm genuinely curious as to whether they had incriminating footage of their club's list managers.

Chris Dawes was actually harmful in his stint at the Dee's. Same with Jack Frost at the Lions, at the Pies he was a dour defender at the very least. One of the only defenders I feared in 2015 as a Dee's fan, was always confident Hogan would score on Rance, Davis, Lake and Tarrant given enough opportunities but not so confident with Frost or Talia. I'm not even joking here.

Exactly round 1 last year against port when he towelled up Lobbe should have him exempt....because Lobbe was the greatest ever ruckman to pay the game at the time

Worst I've ever seen play an AFL game was an Irish kid playing for Essendon a few years back. Now fair cop to the kid, he's trying to learn a new game and it's not his fault he was selected, but that game was as bad as I've seen. Should have been back in the VFL reserves learning what the hell to do.

Worst I've seen play multiple games would have been Kane Mitchell at Port. Again, well done to him for having an AFL career, and I think by the end he did okay as a tagger or something? But I saw him play two weeks in a row in I think his first year, where clangers from him in the dying minutes were the reason Port lost close games.
