There have been worse. but thats hilarious. Harmis over 4 years ago springs to mind.

Brendan Creevey was known to lose it also, for QLD

So that guy is a bowler? If so, thats the most awkward looking action Ive seen, looked part Justin Langer!

Great find.

Harmi's at Lilac Hill was probably worse... wish we had footage of that.

When you talk about worst overs, I don't think it's as simple as saying who was hit for the most 4s and 6s. This over comes to mind:

ODI # 2112, India in Pakistan, 2003/04, 1st One-Day International
Pakistan v India, National Stadium, Karachi, 13 March 2004 (50-over match)
Code:
10.1 Naved-ul-Hasan to Sehwag, (noball) FOUR, outside off, short width
given Sehwag takes it and punches past mid off to the fence
10.1 Naved-ul-Hasan to Sehwag, (noball) FOUR, long hop - put away in
fine style, rocks back and pulls it hard - four!
10.1 Naved-ul-Hasan to Sehwag, (noball) no run, another noball, plays
       and misses outside off
10.1 Naved-ul-Hasan to Sehwag, no run, on the stumps, defended back
10.2 Naved-ul-Hasan to Sehwag, (noball) FOUR, OH! dear another no ball,
hits it over mid off, four more!
10.2 Naved-ul-Hasan to Sehwag, (noball) no run, bouncer and umpire
        called a noball
10.2 Naved-ul-Hasan to Sehwag, FOUR, fuller length, smashed away past
        mid off for a boundary
10.3 Naved-ul-Hasan to Sehwag, two runs, full and on legs, whipped away
        to deep mid wicket
10.4 Naved-ul-Hasan to Sehwag, no run, short in length, tries to cut and
        gets beaten
10.5 Naved-ul-Hasan to Sehwag, no run
10.6 Naved-ul-Hasan to Sehwag, one run, pushed to cover and that is 50
        for Sehwag

11 ball over, 24 runs (inc. No Balls), shocker from Rana Naved, he's normally a very good ODI bowler

Most expensive T20 over. Not necessarily poorly bowled, Punter just on fire:

18.1 Tuffey to Ponting, SIX, And another six as this one sails over the long off boundary
18.2 Tuffey to Ponting, two runs, pitched up this time and the run well to get two to mid on
18.3 Tuffey to Ponting, SIX, Goodbye! Too short again and he hits it down the ground for another six
18.4 Tuffey to Ponting, SIX, And again! Ponting enjoying this as he whips it off his legs over mid wicket. Bad half-volley there
18.5 Tuffey to Ponting, FOUR, Wonderful cover drive to keep the preasure on NZ
18.6 Tuffey to Ponting, SIX, Whack and another flat six over mid wicket. 30 off the over from Tuffey

10 Balls
28 Runs
1 Wicket

The best part being 19 runs off 0 balls

The worst part being Dippenaar on the boundary hanging on the that catch, 1 foot higher and it was 6 runs, and the record runs conceded off any over in ODI history, and there would have been more hand Ponting not have gone out, pushing 40 runs if Dippenaar didn't hang on to that catch, that over was horrible, why they ever recalled Telemachus is beyond me

YouTube doesn't work on my PC so I don't know if it's the below example :

Bertie Vance got belted for 77 runs off one over in a NZ first-class match a few years ago. He was bowling to contrive a result to let his team win the championship (I forget the specifics). I think in the end, after the dozen or so no-balls and wides, the over ended up having only 5 legitimate balls bowled.

The worst I've ever seen with my own eyes is Adrian Tucker get belted for 30 runs in a domestic one-dayer by Tom Moody... about 15 years ago... back when most of those games were on free to air. Three fours, three sixes I think.

Curtley Ambrose's last over in Australia? Wasnt it like 13 balls or so? I met Curtley Ambrose up on the gold coast last week, jesus christ he is one scary looking fast bowler.

Yeah, imagine facing him in his prime, from the height of 10'2", he would have been getting steep bounce past the nose of batsmen from a good length delivery...

No ball-by-ball, but Robert Kennedy (NZ v Zim at Napier on 3 February 1996) had a shocker in the first ever d/n ODI in NZ. His 4th over was a twelve-ball over where five of the first six balls delivered was called wide, and 6 in total were bowled for the over.

In total Kennedy delivered twelve wides and five no-balls in a nine-over spell. Every over he bowled bar his last contained at least one wide or no-ball.

Kennedy 9-0-67-0 (w12, nb5)

Yep 54 off like 33

I could have sworn before he got injured, he had an ODI batting average of less than 20, now it appears he is a genuine batsman, in the 6 weeks he had off, he must have spent every day in the nets working on his batting, New Zealand have sorely missed Jacob, he has come back into the series and is on fire.

Edit - his current avg (inc. this match is 22.32) from 90 matches

I remember the series against the Kiwis and Saffers a few years ago, Lee got spanked by Cairns for about 28 runs off an over then next game Donald got the same treatment I think by Lee

That over by Alan Donald where Lee took to him was a ford flashback when Australia def. New Zealand the other day, was a fantastic over, Lee smashing Donald to all parts of the ground :D

I also remember when Lee did it to Shaun Pollock aswell, I think he took 27 runs off that over

I presume this would be up there:

62 H Morley (62) off R Grubb (9x6 2x4)(4nb)
Tourists v Gargett Gargett 1968/69

http://www1.cricinfo.com/db/STATS/MINOR/MINOR_RUNS_OVER.html

Would have loved to have seen that over, would have been fantastic for the batting side and fans of the batting side, I imagine the fielding side and bowler would have been laughing after the first few sixes aswell.. knowing that no matter what he bowled, it was going to get slogged anyway. Amusing stuff

(On Saturday, when I was playing cricket, the left arm orthodox spinner in my team got hit for 6 by a reverse pullshot, it was hit right of the middle and went about 15 metres over the fence, I could do nothing but laugh, as it was one of the greatest shots I have ever seen.

I was laughing on Saturday at our opening bowler, 61 off 4 overs

Wow, that's a slapping, Lance Whitnall hit 56 runs off 3 overs from our opening bowler when he played in The One Day comp for Lalor against my club. The comp rules are retire at 50, he had faced only 19 balls (1 no ball) and then retired... then you can come back in after all the remaining wickets have fallen, he went on to make 114 off roughly 50 balls (112 of that in boundaries). It's a pity I was playing a higher grade, I would have loved to have been there to see it. Even if I was bowling to him and he was carting me to all parts of the ground.

P.S - Eddie, any chance of posting day 2 of Team 13 vs. The Crocs? :thumbsu:
