tell me with the latest brendan fevola incident, if we decided to give him another 'last' chance and not traded him would we have sacked him this week, after the latest allegations.

I believe we would have as it would have been the absolute last straw. wat you guys think?

I think you should be prepared for the howls of "not another f***ing Fev thread!!!!!". :)

Don't ya think this could have just been added to the existing thread about this sordid affair?

Personally, I'm done talking/reading about Fev.

Wait untill the whole reporter in the toilets story comes out from Brownlow night. It wont be hushed up forever. Brisbane dont realise the baggage that Fev is coming with.

To answer the O.P Yes he would of been sacked for this IF we had not got a deal done with Brissy but i dare say he would of been let go anyway.

Pick 12 and Hendo was a massive win for us.

how about you answer the question at hand, as apposed to worrying about if it should be attached to another post.

It is a simple question, which requires a simple answer. If you are going to waste your time replying to it, respond to the given question!

He most probably wouldn't have lasted to the end of trade week in Navy Blue, but if he somehow had, this would have been the last straw for sure.

He's a ticking time bomb. He just doesn't know how to control himself, and I highly doubt that a change of scenery will change that.

Agree with Gilly, thanks Vossy. I love Fev but he's an absolute child through and through, and moving clubs won't have much of an impact on that, regardless of how much Brisbane supporters can hope. Pains me to say it, but glad he's gone - he's now more trouble than he's worth.

This is very far from being a simple question, but whatever ... for what it's worth, this was my answer:

"Personally, I'm done talking/reading about Fev."

I think it was always going to come to a head, be it this or the next issue around the corner.

Looks more and more like we opted out at the right time. Henderson and Lucas have made positive starts (imagine if we settled for Bradshaw and Rischitelli:o), and Fev has done what he does best...make the front page for all the wrong reasons.

Cruesl Sea are a great band. I particularly like 'The Honeymoon is Over' and 'Better get a lawyer son'.

I'll have a shot: It would have been very, very bloody awkward.

He was sacked and that's all that really matters.

From Fev's point of view, I hope this all blows over, and he can play some decent footy. The Brisbane Retreads are in a very difficult situation, because they simply can't afford to suspend Fev, because they gave up so much to get him. If the media frenzy continues and escalates, the reactionary incompetents at the AFL may force the Lions to suspend him.

:)

First off, in the face of the latest issue I'm happy he's gone. Loved him as a player but the constant stuff ups made him too much as a distraction to the team. Very excited to how the season will pan out and who'll set up and fill the void.

However, I think it'd be unfair to sack him over this considering it's apparently been in circulation for a couple of years. For whatever reason, Bingle's management only decided to throw a shitstorm now. Publicity stunt? You tell me but certainly something Fev doesn't need.

If the Brownlow incident is as bad as some seem to think it is, this mightn't be the only skeleton in the closet that comes back to haunt Fev.
