Wrong time, Mr Smorgon

Good leaders must be able to listen to constructive criticism, accept that facts and perceptions may go agaisnt them.

I do not believe for one minute that either Smorgon,Rose or Eade believe they are better than fact or perception. With Smorgon acknowledging he and Rose handed Eade too much responsibility, with Nixon commenting on his initial fears that the job may be too big.

I can only conclude that the gents have sat down and had an open and honest discussion on each others positive and negative performance attributes.

I am sure all have walked away with something to learn from and improve on. I expect that relations with these gents would be significantly stronger, knowing you have each others support in achieving the required improvement.

All world class business organisations conduct similar reveiws. Football is now no different, and supporters are like shareholders wanting that positive emotion return on their investment.

Now that the percieved negativity is out of the way we can get on with the positive good stuff. "Come out Snarl'n 08"

Remember that Sheahan is just a journo who has to make his money. If he showed up with a story like "Dogs review gets it right", his editor would want to know what the4 hell was going on. He would probably be asked how on earth they were going to generate any interest from a story like that - and if he kept it up, Sheahan would probably be invited to a review of his 'journalistic' skills by his editor. The media thrives on dispute and controversy. At least with Sheahan its still 'fairly' moderate. The day to panic is when we see 'Today Tonight' or 'A Current Affair' or Carro show up at the kennel. Then we know we are in for a real hatchet job. :)

Good interview with Smorgon on Bartlett's program. Who gives a fig what Sheehan thinks, great only 200 sleeps until Sheehans much vaunted top 50.

What a friggin hypocrite he is interviewing Sir Alex yet slagging of the world game last season.:thumbsd::thumbsd:

Sheahan is by far the worst journalist working in the AFL. I've never seen such a front runner in all my life. As usual he's constructed a "straw man" argument and ignored facts (like Smorgon admitting accountabilitry) - all the easier to prove a point which he must have overheard at The Phoenix (or wherever the Hun journalists drink these days). One of the few joys of On The Couch is when Walls and Healy constantly remind him of his back flips and factual errors and start laughing at him.

Really who cares what he thinks.
