Rekon the Team GWS logo qualifies? It was their official club when they got the club license although before GWS were competing in the AFL.
I mean, their jumper is already in the pre AFL folder.
I do actually have the vector logo of that.
GSW logo.jpg
But then, the logos start at official VFL/AFL logos.
If this gets included, does that then mean Port Adelaide logos get included?

I don't see why not. Similar to the pre-VFL/AFL section. It would keep track of all the logos for every club that is playing in the AFL.

All the Collingwood logos for instance?

I'm fairly comfortable with the logo cut-off date as you have it currently. There's too much inconsistency and lack of continuity to try and apply a league-wide 'pre-official' lens at the current time, in my opinion. Maybe it could be done with research... but for now, it seems like we only have Collingwood and maybe a couple of other clubs.

I would rather see anniversary logos included on the site. Oftentimes they are given just as much or even more prominence than the club's official logo in any given season (see the Bulldogs this year, for instance) but they don't exist anywhere on FJ.

I'm sure the good folk of the board can help scour for any official anniversary logos in the post-1975 era; there are two Collingwood ones already listed in that graphic above.

I would yes Team GWS should be included, it was a placeholder logo but nonetheless an official logo of the 18th AFL club (awaiting its first season on the field)
Port got a license in 1996 thus deemed an AFL club so then no SANFL logos, for mine.
Personally I wouldn't mind all those Collingwood logos but I can see how its a bit of a stretch and likely a pain to source and verify other clubs' logos so far back.

Off-topic but getting into some incremental Collingwood edits Mero

Collingwood 1998 home

Collingwood-1998.gif

The stripes on the front are equidistant, whereas currently you have the white 'gap' stripes a bit smaller. Below is a 1998 retail but the stripe length is the same on PIs. The jock tag and AFL logo positions will help with stripe widths.

Pies 98 home 1.jpg

The adidas logo was a patch and lived a bit further up the middle stripe than what you have on your graphic. Not as far up as the retails, but definitely notable overlap between the adidas patch and the bottom of the Primus patch. Below are some 1998 MW examples.

Screenshot 2025-05-13 12.41.09.png

The Primus logo is slightly different too. A registered trademark logo next to the S, mayyyybe slightly bolder and more squished. But that's very nitpicky.

Screenshot 2025-05-13 12.40.26.png

The difference on the back with the Spicers logo is more notable though. It's certainly smaller than what you have currently.

Collingwood 1998 pre-season

Collingwood-1998-PS1.gif

The same corrections will need to be made to the Viatel pre-season jumper:

Collingwood 1998 away

Collingwood-1998-Away.gif

There's been an error here somewhere along the line, as the sponsor makeup on this particular jumper was Spicers Paper on the front and Primus on the back (it's correct on the 'uniform' graphic, from memory!)

Screenshot 2025-05-13 12.38.45.png

The design itself looks fairly accurate, although you could argue that the collar / cuffs / neckbar need to be bigger and thicker.

Screenshot 2025-05-13 12.38.52.png

The shield on the back is fully obscured by the cuffs, too, so you can't see where it 'meets up' at the top. There's also a weird glitch on the stripes near the bottom of the cuffs in the current graphic.

Bucks 98.jpg

It's also missing a jock tag at the bottom right.

Screenshot 2025-05-13 14.33.32.png

Thanks in advance!

I second a section for Anniversary logos. I've wanted that for awhile

Naturally I'd be happy to see all past Port logos! This might not be comprehensive (& doesn't include the current one), but it gives an idea;

Heya Mero GWS' 'XB' Blades era has these random GWS logos on the back.

The charcoal logos appearing on the front look accurate.

Sorry I went away fellas, it's good to be back.

Anyway what's been going on with this Tasmania business?

It got me thinking.......
Remember all the Crocodile Dundee hype back in the '80's? and that short lived L.A VFL expansion proposal by Errol Marron's Property Group from Perth. Did a mock up from his proposal pitch logo sent to the VFL in 1987 for submission.
Enjoy, What was perhaps a classic example of the 1980's bold ambition pipe dreams.

That'd be bang on if it happened
It was brought up 8 years ago and had a "What If" Wednesday week devoted to the idea

Some Eagles corrections.

2006:
The 2006 guernseys need a red and white Puma jock tag (not black and white)

West-Coast-2006.gif

West-Coast-2006-Away.gif

This home with away sponsors is listed under 2006, but it was first worn in 2004 and 2005, with 2004/05 number font and black and white Puma jock tag. The 2006 version was worn by a few players in the one game in the 2006 season, so it would need 2006 number font and red and white Puma jock tag.

West-Coast-2006-Home2.gif

2007
The 2007 home needs full navy arm cuffs, as Puma changed the player issue template for 2007 and the arm cuffs were made of elastane, not cotton like the neck cuff, so they couldn't/wouldn't do yellow piping on the arm cuffs.

These two 2007 royal blues need the red and white Puma jock tag.

West-Coast-2007-Away.gif

West-Coast-2007-Away2.gif

Also, I don't know how you categorise pre-season guernseys, but in 2006 the Eagles wore their home/away guernseys but with alternating sponsors in the pre-season (home had SGIO front/HJ back, away had HJ front/SGIO back). These guernseys were never worn again - West Coast stuck with single sponsor guernseys in regular season 2006 and didn't go to alternating sponsors until 2009. Eagles bombed out of the NAB Cup first round so they only wore the home in the official NAB Cup, and wore the home again against St Kilda in the Nab Challenge in week 1, but I'm sure they wore the royal blue against the Blues in week 2 (there's no photos online to prove this).

In my opinion these sponsor configurations worn exclusively in pre-season classify it as a pre-season guernsey.

2006 & 2007 jumpers are edited and uploaded.

Still uncertain about the 2006 Pre-Season jumpers.
The official line of demarcation is Official Games.
NAB Cup games were official, NAB Challenge were not.
Therefore what they wore against Fremantle in R1 was their Pre-Season jumper.
If it was continued to be worn in the Season, then it only counts as that jumper, Home/Away etc, however, if the sponsors were mixed, then I would include it as a stand alone Pre-Season jumper.

Yes, since they only were in the NAB Cup for one round, then their only official pre-season guernsey is that home with SGIO front, Hungry Jack's back. (There are photos of the intraclub scratch-match for that year, and you can see the royal blue versions with HJ front/SGIO back, but were never worn in any official game). It's a unique pre-season guernsey, as it wasn't worn with those sponsor configurations in the 2006 premiership season, and I would say deserves a spot in the pre-season category on your site.
