Just curious..how much you reckon hes earning ? 150k a year?

3rd round picks and later are on a base of $64,395 with match payments of $3,660 (there are also bonuses for reaching so many games a year). Playing WAFL games would also get match payments but it's a lot less.

He got charged for not obeying a move on notice which is the most bullshit charge in existence. Cops can issue one to anyone for any reason at any time, just because they don't like the look of you. And to ignore it is a criminal offense, something I found out the hard way.

I hate this sort of attitude. I teach kids and it's this mentality that constantly brings us back to chats about taking responsibility.
Your post is shifting blame onto the cops and I personally hate these type of posts trying to take the heat off someone who disobeyed orders by authority.
I'm all for redemption and second chances, but I truly get annoyed by our society and acceptance of people who do wrong things as someone elses fault or issue.

Getting on the piss/getting arrested after his second game back when he's a good chance for a call up. lol

Catcha Yaz
He was reported for striking a Swans player to the stomach in the game at Peel yesterday . Salim malik who I was sitting with reckoned the strike was with an open hand but I don't agree. So yesterday was a big day For Shane whatever way you look at it and he didn't play well at all in an undermanned Peel side.

Definitely stupid no matter what the outcome but I'd like to learn more from a source that doesn't rely on click bait revenue first before asking for his head on a platter or assume the police have been racist in some way (which I've seen first hand as well, so it does happen).

If Dusty can threaten a woman with chopsticks and not suffer any major consequences I think we can probably tone down the contract ripping suggestions for a few days. It's really disappointing that he put himself in a position where this could happen.

It was a very soft blow. The Swans boy barely doubled over and got on with his 50 metre penalty straight away. A warning or at worst a fine. Its something that happens every week and nothing eventuates. Yarran had every right to feel aggrieved at such a frivolous report.

The club has barely 27 players from its entire squad to pick from. Yarran, on the night after a WAFL game, and instead of getting sleep and recovering, goes out on the town and gets in trouble with the law. This scenario screams 'I don't give a ****'. Considering his background, it doesn't look like he is taking his AFL opportunity seriously. I know that it sounds like a weak charge but he shouldn't of been there in the first place. Rosich has said that we're gonna rebuild, how does a 27 year old with behavioral problems fit into that rebuild?

I'm angry because the club has worked hard to earn a lot of respect over the last few years and it seems like we're losing a huge chunk of it this year.
He was also reported at the Peel game for striking so he had a "great" day on Saturday.

**** him off. Right now, no second chances.

Geez a little over the top. He was asked to move on by cops and didn't comply. You don't have to do much to get a move on notice these days. He will get some club imposed punishment but to want to delist him immediately for something minor is just plain idiotic.

Ah well. Was worth the risk INO.

What sort of bargains will be lurking around pick 60 in this year's draft I wonder.

It's not that bad, plus he is on a two year contract, def not a sackable offence. He owned up to his mistake and call the club

Exactly

I bet a few posters have received move on notices for very little when out on the town. Each instance on its merits and what he did may have been on the minor side.

Oh I didn't realise he owned up to his mistake after the fact. Oh, ok that's ok then. Next time I disrespect rules I'll just wipe my hands clean by saying sorry. I'll do that over and over and over because I've learned that you can and somehow people accept it.

Colin Sylvia fair enough

Josh Simpson well hindsight is a wonderful thing

Bennel has made some poor choices for GC but you don't know his personal life today

Gee those names make jack anthony look like a model citizen. Seriously how are bond/lloyd not lining up at Centre link right now.

Some people on here don't see the big picture. We have Benell on the list who has (any maybe is still) been in a very bad way. Do you really want other players being bad influences on him? This could easily of been a situation where both of them went out, and than god Bennell wasn't with him. Yarran should never of been out on the town the night after a game.

It was slightly in jest. Though I don't see him lasting long anyway if this is his attitude.

Who said the club and Yarren is treating it that way? He's receiving a club sanction and sounds like the club wants him to lift his standards. It's not being ignored

You don't know if Bennel is in a bad way. That's speculation

Why shouldn't Yarren be out on the town? Players often head out after games. He shouldn't have become disorderly while out but players are allowed a life out of football.

Was in response to a post. Forgot to quote.
Someone wrote something along the lines of at least he let the club know! Like he had another option? What not say anything and watch it come out anyway.

Not sure what you're saying but as someone mentioned if it was Nat Fyfe we wouldn't be discussing it.
Im saying both have a history of getting into trouble with the law, and im glad it wasnt the guy on our list who arguably has a 10 year career at our club if he wants it, and is regarded in my eyes, as one of the most talented players in the comp. Not sure how Nat Fyfe is even relevant, I dont think he has broken any laws before.

The problem is that there are too many rules.
