Pretty funny.

I don't think anybody expected us to win, not even our own.

During the day I had "a feeling", but brushed it off, as realistically, not only does it mean nothing, but we were going to get spanked.

Me too. That's when i decided to put the match on timer record before i left home.

Is anyone else confused as to how the hell Stokes got 3 votes in the Herald Sun? Chapman yes, Stokes, not even close!

Yeah I had a WTF? moment when I read that on Sunday. If you had read the votes without knowing the score you would have thought that Geelong won. 0h well, the media's hatred of Essendon just makes me happier when we stick it up them.

I never count us out of the "unwinnables", for the past three seasons at least, we had and have the talent to cause the upset.
Like the unbeaten Saints in 2009, now the unbeaten Cats in 2011.

Though i did tip a loss of 60 points :D

I had no idea we would win. With Watson and Lonergan out I thought we would get wrecked.

This. A few hours before a match I usually get a bit nervous and anxious, if I think we have a chance of winning. I go to a game completely relaxed and nerve free if I think we will lose pretty easily. This was the feeling I had on Saturday.

*** yeeeeeesssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!! As good as it gets

Also work on the trading floor of the joint that was $1 mil richer as a result. Bombers!!!!!

I can't believe they gave Stokes votes, he really wasn't that good.

The only reason I can think that Stokes got the 3 votes is that the confused him with both Christiansen and Motlop, and though there was a player out there who had 378 touches and 4 goals, in which case he was stiff not to get the 5 votes.

This just sums up my feeling perfectly Lance...You nailed it!

Great win, and to think we can add Hooker and Watson more than likely next week.

Feels great to win a Friday night game, it makes the weekend so much more enjoyable.

My favourite moment was Ryder's palm down to Zaka, Zaka breaks away from the pack and nails it from 55.:)

Great thing is we have won two interstate (should have been three) this year. And we are not giving up when we are clearly struggling. Two big positives to come out of the season no matter how it all ends.

I dislike the Bombers as much as the next Hawks supporter but that was a bloody good comeback. Congratulations :thumbsu:!

Brilliant win from your team, really gutsed it out.:thumbsu: As bad as we were, you certainly turned the screws in the 2nd half.

These first halfs are starting to kill me

Are they ever. Richmond, Geelong, Hawthorn, North Melbourne, Fremantle and now Adelaide. They are our last 6 games and in each of those we have had a terrible start and apart from the Geelong game, have been down at quarter time.

I have been very impressed with our fight and will to win, but the start of matches are killing us and this trend needs to stop. In particular the next 2 weeks are important for us to get a good start.

One thing I think it does indicate is that we are a team with above average fitness compared to the rest of the competition and the pre-season the team had has served them well.

The roller coaster of emotions in the last 2 weeks watching us play has been crazy.

didnt watch the game last night as i had to start work at 4am ....woke up to 10 text msgs from mates hanging shit on me about essendon being shit.....blew their loads prematurely....:p:p:p:p:p

I have a feeling the staff have backed off the training load a little bit to freshen the guys up for the run home.
