Why is it inconceivable that corruption could not occur in the AFL? It happens in all walks of life. Politics, government bodies, property development, etc etc. The media is laden with this business. Cricket and match fixing. In an online world I am sure you can bet on anything, and for whatever reason the umpires and the AFL have they are clearly allowing the WB to stretch these rules as far as possible.

The AFL stated the umpiring was below par after the furore raised. You finished 7th that year, to win from there is beyond being an outlier. It doesn’t happen. The next two years you were rubbish. I remember we beat you at the Dome in 2017 by about 50 points and we were positively rubbish.

When Franklin kicked the goal in the last qtr he was moving at 100%. Injury had little to do with it.
I'm not conceding anything but the fact that there were much bigger reasons the swans lost the game.
We were rubbish in 2017 due to a bunch of reasons, Clay Smith & Liam Picken played the best month of their footy career in the finals, we never saw that impact from the forwardline again. Tom Boyd even had a day out, never to be repeated. Tory dickson kicked 90 goals 2015-2016, we never got that level of output from him again. Moyd, Wood, Murphy, Morris all dropped off a bit, the former 2 were at AA level. It happened because about 18 of those 22 players decided that they would be in the form of their lives for a month straight, a rare occurance when so many find career best form at once.

So if the umps gave essendon 4 cheap frees and took them away then you would've both scored the same anoint of 2nd half goals.
Don't try and trivialise the significance of those goals. If they went to essendon then the momentum would've gone to them and they probably would've blown you out. The frees were match winning and match ending. at least have the decency to acknowledge it.

It's not hard to figure out. So the dogs kicked 8 right? -4 goals from weightmans cheap frees = 4 goals. Add those 4 goals to essendon if they were to get 4 cheapies and the game is basically even. in fact, the same number of goals per team. Why are you even wasting your energy to defend Weightman? It makes no sense. No-one is denying that he is a Grade A FLopper. He has a track record of games before this game. I think the stats don't do it justice though. 5 of their first 7 goals came from free kicks and the count was 21-7 into the second half before essendon got a few at the end to even the numbers. But nuh in a wet weather low scoring game, nothing to see here. Kept them in the game, got them in front and essendon gave up in the end after all their hard work had them over 20 points down in pissing down rain.

No one is thinking of the umpires in all of this, AFL is practically impossible to officiate correctly and we have a team here that is systemically coached to play/flop/appeal for frees, making their job so much harder than it needs to be. The AFL needs to stamp this sh1t out and fast or we will go the same way as soccer and the diving that goes on there.
Immediate free kick the opposite way if a player remonstrates, puts his arms out to ask for a free kick or is suspected of embellishing contact.

Given it’s so systematic, how much time do you propose the Dogs spend on this. Given Weightman is so early into his career, do you believe we fast tracked his training? Summer flop camp, online education, after hours flop training? Which specialist coaches do you believe we’ve brought in to train such skills? Max Gawn is a renown flopper, is it possible he’s moonlighting with us? Or Pickett and Spargo, some young blood with new flopping ideas. So many options to help guide the Dogs.
